I test drove this car with this engine. I thought that a 1.0 couldnt move a car, oh boy was i wrong, before i knew it i was doing 160kmh and car could do more! Very good engine
Good video! I hesitate to buy a Polo tsi 95. Can you tell me if you found a negative point about the noise level on the road or the comfort? And I have an important question, at 1:08 you're speeding up but you can see the speed dropping for a second at 1:10. Did you release the clutch pedal wrong or did the engine do it? Thank you
At 1:08 he did something with the clutch. To make things clear (i own this car 2years) the engine is perfect and economy is awsome if you dont rape it 5.5 long term consumption 6.5 full urban and i get below 5 on open road in some cases low as 4.2 if you don't go faster than 100kmh. About the noise, it's quiet especialy on speeds below 110 kmh and powerfull engine with a lot of torq but when you have a lot of load on the car you will feel that inbalance of 3 cylindars, it's not a horrible feeling even some people wont even notice it but for my taste is not a pleasant feeling
I just owned this car and can say that this video has very accurate sound! So, as you can hear here, when you accelerate with RPM lower than 2000 then you can notice loud vibration with low frequency. So I decided to accelerate only with RPM higher than 2000, it's much nicer for my ears and I believe it's better for the engine too. 🙂 However, I think it's OK to keep RPM below 2000 when driving with constant speed or slowing down.
Man, i've had it for a weekend and must say it's top of the top car... but, consumption very very strange and for the first time- - First; i drove about 60 km, on straight road, trying to be economical as i could. And this were results: at the begining it was for 450 km left to the gas station. At the end it was 470 km left but on quantity of gas display was about one space and half lower then on the begining, never before so non-linear.. - Second; i drove about 20 km, up the hill, still trying to be economical as i could. Results: at the begining, down the hill it said 460 km to go, when i came up the hill it was 280 km, when i went down the hill and i waited for everything to saddle down, it was 360 km to go... WTF, a day before that weekend i drove it for the first time, i allready orderd 115 hp polo - i think the consumption will match a hummer or ferrary lol
The 1.6tdi is very good on fuel economy I average about 60mpg, even higher when on the highway like 68mpg. And the 1.6tdi despite being heavier than the 1.0 litre is really good for going uphill.
Quentin Angelini I had the Audi A1 with basically the same engine and I didnt like the way it delivered the power. Seemed like a lot of turbo lag, or instant power then nothing. Got rid after 6 months.
Nice engine and no doubt good to drive, but with the same 1 litre turbo, its basically an Audi A1 or a Seat Ibiza, just different prices. The new A1 is a joke. 30k for top spec with the 95bhp engine ! Are Audi having a laugh ? Ive had two Audis, one was new, both not worth the money and not as well made as people think. Also, get side photos of those three cars and they really do look very similar as well. Seat has the best styling though. Bit sharper looking. Have a look, you might be surprised. If I had to choose a car from this segment though, id avoid all those three and probably go for the Kia Rio 3 model, with the 1 litre turbo. For about 15k You get a faux leather interior which is far nicer than the usual material, plus sat nav, 7 year warranty and it looks a bit more individual in my opinion. Not as bland as VW group cars either.
