I bought the Roush cai and SCT/BDX with a Bama tune from you guys, no exhaust upgrades and on 93 pump gas and I got 440 rwhp and 412 ft lbs of torque! Kooks long tubes and H pipe are up next. My ride is a 19 GT/CS.

For the price you should dyno these mods individually. I’m sure the tune is giving you most of those gains posted.

Xactly! They are getting the gains from the tune not the air box... I know better now that I have had a car dyno tuned.

Can’t be that restrictive of a stock box since a tune and CAI only picked up 20 hp.

CAI is a waste of $ and simply a dyno abracadabra for a motionless car. Factory induction is much better at speed.

I know I'm just going to tune mines stock with just the x pipe and go from there I'm feeling like the cai is just for looks and really probably giving an extra 5 ponys lol

Svt performance proved this only made dyno gains at the track it failed sucking in hot air, JLT and all these other companies do not have the money or engineering like ford performance to out do ford engineers. Big waste of money

I’m trying to decide between this JLT and the Roush CAI just because the roush has a cover bolted to really help prevent dust and debris getting into the engine bay. But I feel like losing the cover can allow you to get a little more air sucked in. 🤔

Closed box intakes are better, like the steeda cai. In reality you’re getting most of the power from the tunes though. Like 90%

Go with the Roush cai, it's on my 19 GT/CS and I also did the SCT/BDX Bama tune and on the dyno it put down 440 rwhp and 412 ft. Lbs. of torque. 9 hp better than Lund with the Bama tune. No mods other than the cai and tune.

I have seen guys buy these air boxes and fuc up their cars because they never did the tune that goes with it.. Don't play with your ECU don't do it.. This is the kind of shite I leave to the Pro's.. The only way I would do something like this is if I was at the Tuner strapped down to a dyno waiting to get tuned. I don't trust any of this street tune stuff....

That engine cover is so ugly compared to the boss 302 and the older 5.0. just get rid of that cheap ass cover so it looks more like the bullit.

I hate the wheel measuring format in horsepower and torque. Car's manufacturers don't sell their power outputs that way.

Wouldn't it be kind of unreasonable to expect these guys to remove the engine and put it on an engine dyno every time? If we didn't have chassis dynos, we would have only a small fraction of the dyno measurements we have today that enable us to compare the benefit of various mods. You just need a baseline (i.e. w/o mods) measurement to start with and everything is relative from there.

@@WhalerGA agreed 👍 it's completely ridiculous to not measure your bhp through the wheels. I can't speak for everyone, though I imagine most people want to know what there whp is.

Just look up hotrod's gen3 coyote engine dyno. Rapid testing makes engine dyno impractical unless this was a crate engine channel. Which it is not.
