Thank you! This worked on my 2019 ninja and truly saved me from going in just to have the front fairing piece pushed in. Granted taking off multiple pieces for something so small wasn't ideal, but I am truly grateful for this video. Learners need all the help we can get ^_^

Good video. I hit a deer at 55mph two days ago and it broke lots of plastic. Thankfully I did not crash as a result, somehow managed to stay on the wheels with zero loss of control. I ordered all the replacement parts (hopefully I’m not missing any fasteners) and should have them in about a week. 2021 OEM parts are expensive! Anyway, this tutorial gives me the confidence to do it all myself. I was going to anyway but it’s nice to see how easy it really is. Lol. Thanks!

Am I correct in assuming that removing just front lower section with those push-release tabs would be enough for access to replace turn signal bulbs when the time comes? I should hope something as common as gaining access to replace bulbs wouldn't require more than that.

Great video thanks, only problem I had was the well nuts on the bottom panel had seized, with some small mole grips I stopped them from turning and got the capscrews out, the well nuts then levered out with a screwdriver and I got replacements off E bay, they are c-550 wellnuts, 14mm in length to fit a 10mm hole

IMO that one is pretty easy once you have the side fairings off. It bolts on from the backside around the headlights. Once you have the fasteners out you need to pull forward to slide it out of the rubber grommets. - Van

After installing some frame sliders, I found that my re-installation of the side fairings shows some gaps. This is predominantly near the front fairing and around the nose. I guess I need to go back and take them off and reinstall. I think I just didn't get some of tabs in place correctly. Is there a particular order they should go on?

Sounds like you did not get all the tabs lined up before you put the fasteners back in. You will need to take them back off and start over. Pay close attention to the tabs before you put the fasteners back in making sure they are all engaged properly. - Van

You will need to remove all of the fairings to get that access. End of the day this is not a very difficult task with the Ninja 400. - Van

All you have to do is reverse the process for the removal. We offer a pretty close look at the removal, showing all the fasteners for each mounting point etc... Watch this a couple times and you will be good to go. - Van

Pretty sure you are talking about the 2 piece plastic clips. You need to make sure the center is disengaged which allows the legs of the larger outer to compress. Once you have done this just push the clip in them push the center to secure it. - Van

Sorry we do not have the OEM plastics on the bike at this point so I can not say 100% for sure this would be the case. I am pretty sure this would work but can not say for sure. - Van

Hi, you missed the most important thing in the video in my opinion which is how to disconnect the turn signals, yesterday I took off the fairing and couldn't disconnect them and didnt want to harm it so i left it hanging with support, I think you should do a video of how to pull these off.

This is the only video we have for the OEM bodywork. Pretty sure you need to remove the cable from the latch. To do this unbolt the latch then you can slide the cable off. - Van

There are several different fasteners used to install the bodywork on the bike. If you are worried about getting the right fasteners back in the proper location I suggest taking pictures with your phone when you disassemble the bike. - Van

Does the plastic fairing that goes around the front blinkers and wraps around to the nose come off separate from the whole side fairing? I'm looking to hydro dip that piece but would hate to take the whole side off just to get to that one part. I rely on you basically for all my mods on this 400.

Both of the side fairings, the upper fairing and the inner fairing are all separate pieces. If you are referring to the inner fairing that connects to the upper and sides it can be removed without removing any of the other fairings. - Van

It appears that piece can come off by itself without taking off the whole side panel. Sorry my bike is in a crate being transported to another state while I relocate, or else I would check.

First make sure you have all the parts installed correctly. If you have everything installed correctly you will need to realign the headlights. I have not done that on this bike so I am unfamiliar with the adjustments provided for this. You will need to have a look at the service manual to understand the adjustment procedure. - Van

No you can just pull off the side fairings if you want to. - Van

You will need to remove the fairings to install the radiator guard. - Van

On a 2019 is the side fairing all one piece just like the 2018??

I would not expect Kawasaki to make any changes from the 2018 to the 2019. - Van

Our 2018 has been crashed a handful of times and the frame is still straight. - Van
