Nope i don't i got a 19 vah m with 74k so far and no issues i also got a 379 with 2.3 mil. Both are fantastic but the volvo is quiet more efficient and 1000x more comfortable and no clutch
Love how you take what is an iconic beauty straight out of the factory and then accent said iconic beauty in a very subtle and classy way so as not to take away from the original style of esthetic form and function. There ain't a man on earth who would pass up an opportunity roll in one a your units.
Steve i've watched you're channel over the last year and while every truck you do is beautiful and first class this one has to be the best one yet buddy!! Absolutely beautiful truck! Great job to you and you're team!
Steve it's a really nice rig, if I'll ever have a chance to go to the U.S. (currently in Europe and I want to be a truck driver) I'd definitely get a 389 with the 78 inch, or a W900 with the 86 inch sleeper. The KW has more space, but the 389 looks damn more better, has a better dash layout, better seats, and those optional smoked headlights (you know with the LED daytime running lights) are so much better than the boring halogens on the KW. It would be a hard choice. But ohh dear this is the best I've seen so far.
You could draw inspiration from what's available on the new Bugatti Chiron or the Veyron. they've got two tone paint down to a science. this truck looks incredible
Ive noticed there is a little trend with rootbeer color and choc cploron trucls i love it i think both are beautiful on trucks....this one looks amazing!!!!!
Damn that sure beats the COE Combines I drove back in the late 60's & early 70's, LOL. Hell does this truck have an automatic butt wiper? Seems as if that is the only option I didn't hear about. When I finally got into a 359 Pete in the late 70's I was walking in tall cotton. If it weren't for all the BS today with the laws, ELB'S & such, I would come out of retirement & buy me a truck like this. Still partial to the ole A model Cats though. Always liked seeing that smoke blow out of them stacks when you changed gears. Ah the good ole days of truckin.
Also, would you (Please) do a video on how you can set up a truck to drop the front end with the air bags? If a driver wants 8" pipes with no covers do you install those?
droldsw31 I own a volvo and love petes and kennys...For my first truck I decided to by a volvo for 17.5 w/ 800k rather then pay 50k w/ 800k...just made more sence from a business perspective. That was 7 years ago. Same truck running strong granted it also has an isx. Not gonna lie, I would love a w900 or 379 though lol...one day
Peterbilt Steve I went with kw this go around but I think I’ll go with Peterbilt when I trade this one in how much would this truck be if u would build this again
bunker108 I agree. And the fact that almost all of them have painted air bags, air lines, and electrical lines. Still the best looking trucks on the road though.
I agree, but the engineers at the plant just look at this as a tool to move freight. Most of them cant comprehend or do they understand the passion and following these trucks have.
I'd blame the bean counters instead of the engineers. Waiting until the paint dries, then moving the fifth wheel and repainting costs time and money. I'm sure many of their engineers do comprehend and understand the passion and following their trucks have. I heard a story of a Peterbilt engineer who drove a truck to work everyday. Yes, there are incompetent and/or apathetic engineers, but generally, most engineers get their hands tied by accountants wanting the cost out of something which forces their bosses to order them to do something they don't like doing. What can they do? Quit? Then some other engineer will get the assignment, the situation won't change, and the first engineer will be unemployed.
Is there any reason one would choose 24.5 over 22.5? (Assuming it's just the one truck) What are the advantages of one over the other? Also, could you talk about the +/- of super singles Vs. regular (8) tires?
