Omfg, your video and comments there after saved my pockets, I have been dealing with these warnings on and off since last summer, I waited until the dash board lit up again and I went to an auto zone to get a scan got the same error code. I know how these dealers could be messed up so I called Honda care and asked them about my warrantee, they told me I was covered, called the dealership and made the appointment. As soon as I got there they told me I had to change all the injectors and all sorts of other shit I smiled and said 4 words “it’s covered by warantee”. Their smile disappeared, lol, I also got a loaner for the time they were working on my vehicle. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU
Don’t forget to use 91 gas … Honda said 87 gas is fine but accord and CRV 1.5 T has higher boost @19psi, which might cause early head gasket injector failure. It must have a little knock for a sec which cause issues overtime😅

It has direct port injectors spray on top of the piston other honda spary in the intake manifold thats why old hondas don't have that problem. I had the same problem at 55k and i got the oem injectors from ebay along with gaskets. I replaced mine myself and all the lights went away soon as i start the car up. Good luck.
Have noticed rough idle on cold starts for past few months. Was planning to swap the spark plugs when I hit 50k, currently at 48k, but now I’m thinking it could be an injector issue. Haven’t had a check engine light but will keep an eye out.
@@dgfinesse6061 don’t, very few places can service them accurately. Just buy new ones and replace. You only need injectors which from dealership are a little over 300 dollars. You don’t need the extra stuff they tell you you need I replaced just my injectors nothing else and have had 0 issues
My 2018 accord is at the dealer right now for that same problem. I did not get the extended warranty. Hey its a Honda right... It was my thinking. I had a 2003 Accord and when I sold it at 205000 only thing that did not work was the CD player. This really needs to be part of the recall. I would certainly help Hondas rep in my opinion. So disappointed.
That's exactly what I've been saying. Now the 10th & 11th gen Accords have the same base engine. If we're changing fuel injectors at 50K on the regular at $1500-$2K, aside for other repairs that will be due as expected then Hondas are no longer on my list of quality cars.
Appreciate you sharing this, once again really sorry this happened to you. I knew a friend that bought a new Corolla back in 09 I believe and his transmission blew out. On the other hand I know a master tech with two Benze with 300k miles with zero issues. Cars are really crazy and unpredictable, luck does help in all this. I do try to lease new and then dump later through the best dealership.
Yes. It really depends on luck😂 Toyota and Honda are not always durable. It’s just the repair cost is relative a lot lower comparing to German car and parts are still readily available after 10 years. My sister 2017 golf got over 80K miles with zero issue.
Man that sucks . I too have a 2018 accord and having lots of problems as well. Xmas lights on randomly. Oil leaks etc. Bought it new and did all schedule maintenance. I'm disappointed in honda. I love y 10th gen but problems after problems. Any updat on your end?
Honda called me after 2 months and said my claim was denied. I was certain that was going to happen based on how many times I called with no reply. I went to a shop I trust and had them replaced for $1300. I figured this will be less money going to Honda. I read a lot and watched a lot of videos about these engines and my conclusion is to stay away if you can. Recurring premature failure of fuel injectors, oil dilution, and turbo failure highly likely under 100K. There's a reason why the #1 seller the Camry is still making a non-turbo engines.
Damn! One year later and my 2019 Accord has the same problem. Unfortunately I’m over 100k so the extended warranty wouldn’t have helped. My 2007 Accord went 270k with the only issue being the catalytic.
Got a 2008 honda accord it has a blinking check light engine put some lukas fuel injector it gaved codes for camshift & now some po302 po300 misfire codes. Sheesh those are expensive as hell I'm guessing it's the fuel injector or spark plugs...
I had the same problem with bad fuel injector. Dealer wanted $1700 to replace the set. Filed a claim with Honda. Honda paid $900. Only out of pocket $800.

Going through the same thing with my 2019 Accord at 26k miles.. honda is replacing and installing a new engine but don’t think I can keep it and trust it after warranty. I’m going to sell it and upgrade to a 2.0 turbo. Honda needs to do better
I’m hoping my accord 1.5 sport almost at 40k miles doesn’t fail on me because I’m waiting to go to work but it 5 miles away and car fail on me I don’t want to be late for work constantly but if it really fail on me I’ll get an tesla instead and not dealing with bs anymore.
I heard the fuel injectors are on a big back order and Honda is designing them . Not sure if that will actually improve . Sucks that Honda and the dealership didn't take care of you . I can forgive them about the bad design but not being charge for the mistake .
Same issue happend today with my 2018 accord as well. 40k miles on it. I’m getting a quote for $2k from honda service to repair it. Is there any other way this can be fixed ? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry you're going through the same problem. I'm am apologizing because Honda won't!!! As you can see the comments are to change them yourself or have a friend do them I recall the dealer gave me a $800 quote for parts only. But if that option is not for you then a reputable shop might do it for $1100-$1300, and dealer wants $1600+. Make sure you keep the receipt so you don't have to worry for 12k/12months but after that pray you got a good set of injectors as this part seems to need replacement like brakes every 50k due to the bad design/poor quality control at HONDA.
Sorry I'm not a mechanic I don't have the knowledge to clean fuel injectors. If you ever have to time to take yours out, clean them, reinstall them, and then hope that solves the problem and saves you $$$ feel free to let me know for how long that works.
I’ve been watching a lot videos about accord 1.5 I hope I don’t run into this issue. Mine has 40k so far nothing has happen. Other than the coolant level went down last year after changing it. I’ll have to keep an eye on it. What maintenance have you done to your baby
I hit 120k on mine and it became a mess. Replaced coils and spark plugs, problem was still there. I was told it may be the fuel injectors, but then told that my coolant was leaking somewhere. Luckily, the check engine light went away and I took it right to a dealership and bought my dream car, a 2022 pickup. Check engine light stayed away while they inspected the car and got a great trade in value off of it. Honda isn't what it used to be. Won't be going after Hondas ever again
At 120 K having all the same issues now I need to invest 1500 for fuel injectors. I also change the fuel pump and apparently has more other things that I need to replace.
@Irmaliz Osorio Better off getting a new car. Luckily my check engine light went away for a few hours, giving me enough time to take it to the dealership and trade it in for a good price.
I have a 2018 Honda Accord Touring, had this car for 6 years now with 41,000 miles. No issues with this car until about 2 weeks ago. Had the "christmas tree lights" come on. Dealership saying fuel injectors at a mere cost of $1372. I walked out, didn't pay them a cent. SMH after reading all these people with the same problems with their car. Of course the parts are on back order.
I have the same problem with my car it's in the shop right now they told me that it was mis firing and the spark plugs needed to be replaced I had them to do that it cost me $550.00 I went to pick up the car the idiot lights were still coming on I never even drove the car I walked back to the shop and told them the repair man said that he had drove the car and tested it but it's still not working. He tested it again and it is still mis firing he said the head gasket is leaking and it needs to be replaced, I do have Honda care extended warranty on the car, but the thing that is crazy the car only have 32k miles on it, I have not driven it a lot because I have another car and a motorcycle , they said that it will take about a week to fix it.
My daughters 2019 accord is having same issues been going back and forth with Honda about this, the car has less than 40k miles on it this is unacceptable
Mark I'm sorry to hear that. Her mileage is too low for this kind of problem. They better honor a goodwill repair she is only 4K out of the bumper-to-bumper warranty. If you have time post your facts on NHTSA website (limp mode the car goes in can be very dangerous, I don't understand why when 1 part fails all safety systems are deactivated!), Accord Forums, RU-vid. We need to band together and leave a record. It's possible a class action lawsuit will right the wrong but the evidence has to be reported first on these very early Accord 10th Gen fuel injector failure. Just looking at this comment section gets me mad that more and more people are now starting to have this problem. From my research Honda has had fuel injector failures for other models and extended the warranty to 150K aka they got caught 😂
I just got my car back from Honda yesterday Same thing bad f uel injectors. There wasn't warranty up until 150000 miles for the fuel injectors Otherwise that would have cost me 1800
Honestly I think Honda squeezed the 1.5T too hard. Accord and CRV has 19psi vs Civic 16psi. I see accord and CRV got more issue on RU-vid. Injector, head gasket, oil dilution 😅 there is a Honda tech guy stated to use 91 gas on these engines to avoid problems…
Yes!! Thanks for the great comment. Too much boost for the quality of the parts. Premium gas was always recommended back in the day for turbo engines but why did the Honda Corp print that it was ok to use regular with this engine... was it deceptive? Also I can't put all the blame on Honda but this squeezing this much fuel economy smells like regulations. Lastly from the comments that I've read it seems that those in CA are getting the injectors replaced for free up to 150K as they are part of clean air emissions so either CA Accords are more expensive or the rest of us are subsidizing CA owners repairs.. but not 100% sure on this one.
Civic is a smaller car. Accord is 450+ pounds heavier than a civic . Accord has more room for bigger passengers and luggage. So 1.5T has to work harder. Another youtuber recommended driving gently on eco mode, premium fuel and warming up.

No wonder my car has bad idle at start so ruff. N then it stops. But today 9/22/22 at 3:45pm i started my car n my check engine came up n started to run slow with no power. But i stopped n turned off the car n started again n it went away... could it be the same issue?
2018 1.5t EX-L - I lost power getting onto freeway at 40 and walked that 40 to the next exit with only check engine flashing (p0303 misfire) changed all sparks and still same issue. Drove to mechanic and all my lights and warnings came up. Diagnosed and have little compression cyl 4 60psi the rest were at 130’s
@@thericardodelgado damn bro i just had that problem today. All light warnings. And lack of power. I already cleaned the fuel injectors and now I'm going to change the spark plugs tomorrow to see if that makes a difference. Smh
@@johnnymade8426 sup bro ma bad for the late reply. Will I had a mechanic look at it he said he was going to clean the injectors. And rest the car on the scanner. It worked but then i got thos lights up again. So what i did i cleaned very good the piping hose from the intakes . And aslo cleaned the mas flow senor. And the 02 senor the one on top. Before that i disconnected the battery. And now its working ok since last week on Sunday 🙂 i still want to do the bottom 02 senor later. That might help more with all at junk inside
The injectors are only an issue in the GDI engines. There is no “bad batch” of injectors. Most injector issues seen are in cars that either sit for extended periods of time, or when they do move they don’t see above 2k rpm. It’s a GDI, meaning those injectors are pumping out 3k psi into the engine, they are going to carbon up if it’s not driven. Cleaning them has never helped. It just costs you extra money and then another angry visit down the road when we know it wasn’t going to help. At times Honda would good will parts for those just outside of warranty for those that kept up with their services. Also as far as the brake fluid, it’s not out of touch. Service interval is every 3 years, on a time based interval. DOT 3 brake fluid is very hydroscopic, meaning it sucks moisture out of the air, and having moisture in your brake fluid will eventually cause calipers to to seize prematurely and can make your steel brake lines rust/have your flex hoses deteriorate. These are preventative maintenance services. This video to me seems as though you’re mad that you didn’t buy the extended warranty and are taking it out on the dealership, IMO.

All you people who purchased newer honda’s and toyota’s got SCAMMED BIG TIME… those cars are not like they use to be… honda is one of the worst cars on the market… buy them more… more money for me since i’m mechanic 😂😂😂
