Good and inspiring report, like it - A5 Sportback is a fantastic car. Love when you say "coup" as we in Europe tend to say "coupé" with a long ee :-)

We have had the previous generation A5 Sportback in Australia for some time (not just a European release). I do drool over them every time I see one. Certainly a nice design in the flesh. Hoping this new model will continue the trend.

There was a guy in Oklahoma that has a first generation A5, really good looking car. It is a town with a military base so I don't know if he was able to get it in somehow via the military. On a side note, Jeep should really hurry up and get their pickup truck Wrangler out to the market, first I saw that orange 4 door one the other day, now I saw a white 2 door one yesterday, clearly people seem to want these.

Not sure I think it could be faster, when I was counting with my fingers I got to 5.47 seconds. 😂

How is the comfort and insulation? Would you recommend for daily use?

Roman, you are a tall guy (6-2?) did you have enough headroom in the front? Sometimes audis with sunroofs can be a tight fit for tall guys.

An MBE 8" sub in back would be a perfect edition to add to the sound system.

I see most reviewers on YT never talk about a car's reliability and maintenance costs. I would argue most normal commuters care more about that than performance, gadgets, etc. Would come to make sense for reviewers to talk more about reliability?

I can't believe I'm saying this, the arteon has more hp than this A5 sportback and is roomier in the backseat.

I could get that exact same powertrain with a 6-speed manual in the A4 so that's what I'll stick with.

This car is the VW Arteon. The VW looks much better. I pray they bring that to the U.S. in 2018. I love it.. hatchbacks and wagons are coming back.

Never liked the A7 and its saggy ass design. This is just tweaked enough to look great and fresh. Needs more than a four to close the deal, though. One car it would compete against at this price is the sexy new Kia Stinger with 365 HP
