It's really annoying when car companies take away user control over these things without outside software. Luckily I work at a garage but they should just keep the inspection thing as part of the car menu just like the oil change interval.
The inspection warning which is actually an oil change and inspection warning will come early up in these cars if you dont use the EXACT oil the manufacturer recommends. So in these TTs you have to use Shell Helix or Castrol Edge then you wont see the warnings. Otherwise you will have to keep resetting with a diagnostic tool. Other SW30 brands are ok to use but this is a quirk many people dont know about.
@@zipz8423 I'm actually refering to the inspection reset that comes up I believe every 2 years. You can reset the oil change light on the dash but the inspection one has to be done with OBD tool. It seems kind of silly. But then again they did also remove the dipstick in most of their cars but left the tube and the handle. Just no metal piece. It's asinine really. Technology is great but I know sensors go bad and I'd rather have the mechanical oldschool backup of a dipstick.
@@sinappanis ok, well if it’s coming up on time then it really needs that service done. The problem is what. The computer display in the car is also limited, if the gearbox oil change interval is due it will also come up with an inspection warning. (S Tronic.) I have a 2019 RS it still has the good old dipstick. Have they deleted it in other engines?
