I test rode the 2018 BMW K1600B and enjoyed it. I could see myself owning this BAGGER! Visit Sills Motor Sales and mention '650ib Bagger' for a FREE T-Shirt! WIN MY 2017 BMW S1000RR! / 650ib
I just bought a k1600b. Traded in my 2015 roadglide with a stage 4. I am absolutely in love with the bike. bout to take it for its break in service. Absolutely love everything about the bike.
stonewall618 hey bud, my bike is also in the shop for its first service and having the centre stand fitted. I traded my h2 sx se for this bad boy and there has not been a single time (riding those 1000km) that I had any regret. The best bike I have owned. I think you get a lot of bike, that can also do almost everything you would want a bike to do. Safe riding
Hey stonewall, how has your bike treated you over the past couple years? I'm considering buying one but have read that bmws are not known for reliability. Has yours given you any problems?
@@thollingsworth4910 I actually go rid of the bike. It started having a transmission issue after having it for a while. Took it in a couple of times but they could never get it right. Fast forward 2 years there’s a recall and they will replace the entire transmission... would I buy another one. Yes. Would it be my main squeeze... no. I was enamored by the features and speed of the bike. Be being 6’3 I had a hard time getting comfortable on the bike on long rides. Also the fact that exhaust systems for 2500+ for the bike really irritated me. I prefer my bikes to be a little loud. But that was what it was. The bike Over all was fun to ride. It’s a great bike but it had some issues that at the time made it hard to love for a long time.
The bagger I would pick over any other BMW style unless I was pulling a camp trailer behind me, then I'd choose a BMW GTL to do that. Power and comfort is what I'm after. Being able to cruise at highway speeds and grab 100 mph to get out of a bad situation if I needed to is what I like. Soft and comfortable seating too. That combination is hard to beat.
I own a built 2018 124 Harley Road Glide and a 2020 K1600B Grand America with Bren Tune. There is no comparison between the two when it comes to raw power. Still love the kick you in the chest torque on the Harley down low, but as soon as you get in the mid range and above the BMW is super impressive and the Bren Tune releases the Beast!
ib, I rode next to one of those 1600's last Sunday coming back from a LARGE group ride to Frankenmuth, Mi. We took the back roads there from not too far from Ducati Detroit. Some of us took I-75 back and I rode my ZX14R next to a gentleman who was riding one. We probably averaged about 95, sometimes 120+, and that Beamer had no trouble at all. The guy on the BMW was just about your size too.. Regards, Richard...
Thanks for the review. Tired one of these like a couple of months ago, really liked it. I call it the Harley Killer after that... for like 24k you get a high tech bagger what else can you dream about... And I still think it's not 1.4L it's 1.6L :)
650ib its all good man you were there to handle biz it was nice meeting you as well. Saw you rippin the track up on the R1M before I had to split I must say that is one awesome machine! Oh and finally found me a track suit thanks for the Alpinestars suggestion! Peace
Ib, could you please leave a track list of music used in the video? would be much appreciated! also love the video the K1600B looks like a bike i could own one day too haha
Cool ride man. Them 2 wheeled Beamer Cruisers sure are Slick looking!!! Nice to see you taking 480 to 271 n getting off at Tri-C exit!!! Ill be back in Cleveland Soon prob spring next year! Then we have to hook up n go get me a bike!!!
Hey Ib, you should review the C-650 series BMWs. Nice cruiser scooters! My wife has one and it is super comfortable for half the cost of a big bagger...
160hp and it looks fantastic. Something a sport bike rider can be satisfied with.. power to weight ratio with 165lb rider = 5.66lbs per horsepower... 2018 Yamah MT-09 power to weight ratio with a 165lb rider = 5.03lbs per horsepower. So given the fact that the K1600B is heavier that negates the .6lb per horsepower difference at higher speeds due to it being more planted. The verdict: This 'bagger' pulls like an MT09
Ib, thanks for the video. This bike will definitely be one to watch for in the future! Also, who is the beautiful young lady in the picture? I thought I would see her in the video!
I would really appreciate a tall guy review of bikes. You need to comment on the ergos for a tall guy. I would even enjoy a video where you went through all of your sportbikes and compared ergos and stated any changes you made to clip ons or adding rear sets.
Belated comment, sorry. It’s not BMWs 1st bagger, it’s 1.6 liters, it was NOT designed to compete with HD head to head. It is however, a great machine & is wedged into a small cruiser/sport touring niche. I personally don’t think it’ll be a great seller however, I have a 19 & it fits my needs almost perfectly. So much so that I am & have sold my other two HD & Indian ‘baggers’.
Awesome bike. This would be a great touring bike. Sport bike riders don't get it because most don't take extended trips on a bike. And for those of you that do so occasionally, there will come a day when you appreciate the comfortable seating position and yet still have all that gobs of power on hand.
all that tech and BMW still won't move away from the proprietary phone hook ups and move to bluetooth streaming. I have the same crap system in my Mini. Sad when my 2013 Wrangler handles music streaming better than a BMW.
This is very cool. You should do more videos with unusual bikes. Like a grom or a goldwing. try and throw them around and compare them to sportsbikes it would be interesting.
Yeah like a Yamaha VMAX 1700 and lay the smackdown. It will take down pretty much all other bikes on the highway and drag strip all while sitting upright, even the H2. 650ib would be the perfect man for the job to show the VMAX power on some highway smackdowns!!
Hey Jaret, you should try and collaborate with cycle cruza. I know he doesn't like that but if you could pull that off that would be awesome! Good shit bro
I think its great youreviewed this bagger but havingnever rode a "big bike" before its tough to listen to your review having NO experience. I have a HD Road King and. ZX14 looking to upgrade the Touring experience type of riding. Keeping the other bikes so looking to add to the stable, thank you for the effort it takes to make these vids, but Folks are always wanting to say , this is no track bike, Its a cruiser and it would be nice to have someone review that that point of view. With my wife on back I'm not about to "Race " around risking her life. Youth buyers should buy a liter bike and try to survive untill they are 60. Review touring bikes for touring..
as you get older you will want a bagger over a super sport for sure i love my honda vfr but i want a gold wing the official caddy of bikes always has been but that is a nice bmw
25K for that model? That's kinda high for even that bike! If you "spec" out this bike @ BMW you'll find that the "premium" option has the center stand and all other items your getting over-charged for!
I also had my doubts about the dash and see that the 1260rt plus other Beemers in the line up are now being fitted with the tablet type TFT dash. Problem I have is that it now looks to "plain" for my taste. I think i still prefer the analog and digital combination. maybe I am too old school, but I think it will age better with current set up.
It's just a matter of time. Comfort and storage . I think you should include some subs for the give away that have supported your channel. Prior to the yt shenanigans .
