Now that I’m more mature I think I’m going to look at a BMW motorcycle as I’ve ridden Harley Davidson for the last 12 years.

Kinda back to front, no? Go from a non-performance bike to a performance bike as you get older? I’m kinda doing the same actually, just sold a Honda Rune and about to buy a K1600B! Ride safe!

Its have the same price as harley rdking in Thailand(a bit cheaper!) I prefer this bike than the harley!lol.... But i most likely never have a chance to buy or ride!lol....

I've got a K1600 GTL. I've put about 50 miles on it and I think I made a purchasing mistake and I'm going to get rid of it. It's an ok bike. It's sporty, but not as fast as a sport bike. The position of the footpegs isn't comfortable for any length of time. It's got bags, but it's not as good as an Electra Glide. The radio is inadequate. The mouse wheel control is stupid. The wind tosses it around. Now that I've spent a little time with it, I just don't like it that much and regret buying it.

I love this bike. It's easy for a new rider to control and manage before they decide on a Harley or Indian or any other brand. Love the ride modes.

I’ve been away from BMW for a few years & just purchased a 2019 K1600B. So far it’s nearly the perfect bike for this aging biker. I’m now going to sell my HD CVO Ultra Classic & Indian Chief. I just don’t see the need for multiple bikes any longer. Taxes & maintenance suck.

I really like this review because it is thorough and not a scrappy computer voice. Keep up the bike reviews and great narration. I agree that it is quite a fun bike to ride! We are out here to enjoy riding them, and this BMW is right on for that!

Picked up mine 2 weeks ago. Traded a 2016 GSA. What a powerful beast, I am in love with this bike. Negatives? Speakers suck, but I never use external audio anyway. Seat had to go, added a Sargent with driver backrest. Great review, thanks!

Great to hear. I love mine too. it is an addiction for me. I am going with the new Sargent seat with back rest that just hot of the press. Not cheap !!!!

Flying Dog Right?! These guys crack me up with their, ‘OH, it’s not the concept so fuck it” comments. Bikes and cars have to comply with different government laws and regulations which influence how the machine is ultimately produced. Notwithstanding, BMW DID A FINE JOB WITH THIS.

That is kinda funny. Also how much you wanna bet the cbx straight 6 inspired BMW and the boxer from BMW inspired Honda. Or maybe Porsche motors but horizontally opposed cylinder layouts. Crazy. Honda needs to make a big bore straight 6 sport tourer too. CBX 1800!! With 200 hp lol. That would be sweet😜.

It is speed limited from the factory at 130mph.

There are lot's of tips about that. 130 mph is 208 kmph. The test bike could run over 215 according to the dashboard, but it didn't end as an electronic limit (cut the acceleration and that's all), but the bike simply ran out of power. At least this was the feeling.

The bike is speed limited to 130mph, it will run 130mph in sixth gear, it runs 130mph in fifth gear, it does not run out of power cruise control is just set from the factory at a max of 130mph, this speed was GPS speed on Montana Hwy 212 Aug, 5, 9:00 - 9:30 AM. Vehicle speeds always read high, by design, plus, tire size, tire wear, and tire pressure effect the speedometer reading. The actual readings were 130mph/209kph GPS and speedo indicated speed showed 134mph/215kph. I Now have over 14,000 miles, 22,500km on this K1600B not just a 10 mile test ride.
