No, the 1/4 mile ETA determines the winner from a dig. The X5M builds slightly more speed to the 1/8 mile, trapping at 90, and traps 113 on the 1/4 mile, so from the 1/8 to the 1/4 mile it gains 23 mph (113-90 = 23). The X3 M40i, on average, traps 86-86.5 in the 1/8 mile and traps at 109.5 on the 1/4 mile which gives us 23-23.5 mph gained from the 1/8 mile to the 1/4 mile. Both cars were tested on the same road stretch. So if they do a rolling race from 50-60+, they will both gain a similar amount of speed during the roll. Race them off 90, and I think the X3 M40i may even take the top end by a little until it hits the limiter. Who knows! Only way to know is to line them up and try. At least from the RaceBox times, they are very comparable and similar in these disciplines.

@@Tcity-rs5bj You're really underestimating the B58, lol! The X5 is heavier, and the aerodynamics of the X3 along with the weight are in it's advantage. Even if it doesn't win, it won't loose either. They'll be right beside each other, but my bet is the X3 will take it after 120-130mph. It's hard to do such a test on our roads and traffic, and not very safe. I'll just say this, they have very similar performance.

@@DMCarReviews Ik the B58 is an underrated motor, but so is the S63 lol. Just look at the power to weight ratio of them, just that alone says the X5 wins. In fact even if the M40i was making 430hp(which it might), the X5M even at 567hp has a better power to weight ratio

@@Tcity-rs5bj Not sure about all these ratios, but fact remains they both show very similar times on my RaceBox on the same road, and the B58 has amazing pull in the high rpms and top end, so I can totally see it being neck and neck, and with the X3 potentially taking the lead in the high speeds. You're welcome to line them up and see.
