I use a "Blue Ridge" windscreen on my 2017 F3 and it is taller, but similar in that I look over the top and it does protect my upper body. However, the wind blast is right at helmet level and really is a problem for real time voice recording. Greatrydes has a similar setup and problem. With a do-over, I would go for a taller windscreen. Nice overview, though.
So I have the Blue Ridge on my F3-S and I'm 6'1" with a long torso so I get buffeting in my helmet so bad I couldn't see. I went back to the instrument cowling that's stock on mine since it's a Daytona it's just the blast to my chest at higher speeds I would like to minimize. Would the 129 accomplish this without buffeting in my helmet?
@@spyderlyf3 Same situation so before I spend $350 on a short sheild I'd like to know if that shield is going to simply move the wind off my body and up to my helmet. Sounds like this might not be the way to go.
@@Melvyn53 I guess Melvyn I could suggest that you contact a bike shop or a dealer and ask them if there is a special tool needed. Maybe someone on here will have the answer for you. But that may not be as soon as you would like it to be. I think usually someone answers your question about 2 days after you have already solved the riddle!!!! Good luck though. When you figure it out feel free to provide the answer here though if you like! Have a great day and be safe!!!
I ordered this one from my original dealer who now doesn't handle spyders anymore. But there is a place in Orlando Florida that handles all kinds of windshields for different bikes. They have clear, smoke, or i think other colors to. Don't remember the name though
