eh he could but that really firm suspension probably isn’t the greatest for eating ice cream at the same time, could get messy. it’s not unmanageable but having driven a 1LE SS camaro i personally think it’s just a little too stiff for daily use. some people can manage though, but i just don’t wanna get whiplash accidentally tagging a pothole
@@JK-bb2hm payment princess? lol.... bro... u have ONE SINGLE LIFE.... dont be fucking weird. lol get what u want.. payment or fucking not .HAVE FUN DUDE. You could die tomor... i mean shit u could be dead right now.... lmao
After watching this epic video - I bought myself a 2010 ZL575 here in UK and whilst not the same I still LOVE it! Managed to get 2 speeding tickets in 2months after having a clean licence for 54years!!
Wowza! I’ve driven the 1LE before, it’s such a race car. I did settle with the standard ZL1, but man this makes me want to take it to a track! Awesome video.
Take bus to the track right 😂 Any time on that course is good time , I’d love it , 14 1le custom , I’d 160 mine around there too if I lived around there , get some cup 2 r’s and the loan to get them😂, then burn em up in a few sessions 😂 rich people right.
I am coming from a well tuned 2016 SS to a 2018 Zl1 white/black non-1le. I wasn't going to put headers on this one until I made the mistake of watching and sharing this video over and over. So much for that resistance, It's scheduled for the the full massage, intake, tb, full headers and exhaust along with flex fuel, Thanks a lot , I am a recovering horsepower addict and I thought I would be satisfied with the ZL1 stock power, NOPE!!!! You have the CAR CRACK video, it never gets old listening to you , LET IT EAT !!!
You forgot to add reliability, which we know frdo mustnasg struggle with in daily driving let alone a track day. Hence why frdo doesn't provide a track warranty for mustnags. 8~(
Firstly Very smooth driving secondly I just bought a 2021 zl1 1le and am looking forward to track day. I am coming off an AtsV and find the capacity of the 1le a little intimidating. Did you find the car difficult to manage the power at first. I will be going slow but never been over 150 so far never had a car that would go there before. And again nice work.
Thank you for the love, The car overall is very capable at speed, obviously you should slowly warm up to it but its highly confident. Low speed turns might be its weakness as youll have to learn how to put the power down, but it feels very at home at higher speeds.
A stock GEN 6 ZL1 with the manual I'm not sure how it will perform, but mine with a 10sp auto can cruise at 130mph easily, you'll find 150 is not really even pushing it's capability. After driving the new (at the time) '17 ZO6 Corvette, then driving the new '17 ZL1 I chose the Camaro. I got the last 1, I had to order mine and it has every option but an engine block heater, it took a couple of months but it was worth the wait. Any mods you'll do, the pricks at Chevy will blow off any warrantee claims after telling me bolton mods won't void it, they LIED. Internal mods obviously will void it but get in writing if they say boltons are ok, they'll say yes but when you need warrantee work you will be told the car is "modified", in my case the same clown who said bolton mods wouldn't void my warrantee was the same SOB who denied me when I needed work done. Get it ALL in writing before even a CAI is installed, including a non-stock computer tune...
Yeah the Porsche and mustang will be seeing the camaro in pieces after he crashes. Believe it or not most people don’t want to push their car to the max and loose it in a crash.
Got to autocross the ss 1LE for the first time today and was absolutely blown away with its handling and performance. I cannot even imagine how capable this ZL1 1LE is if driven properly. Awesome driving and great video, what a dream. Cheers
You should try driving a FBO Camaro I4 turbo around a track or autocross... Incredible handling machine...I speculate that a 400-450 hp Camaro 4 banger would challenge a ZL1 around a track.
@@sugerhitman1295 not even close on a track or down the line. The turbo doesn’t get the same suspension or many of the parts that the 8 cylinder cars do like the magnetic ride control for example or the larger disc brakes in the front. If the ZL1 has an upper pulley, cold air intake and tune that car will be pushing over 600 at the wheels. There’s a reason that people don’t buy and build I4 turbos to race V-8’s.
Was planning on grabbing a 2SS 1LE for a new daily driver and some spirited weekend drives, it’s insane to see what a talented driver and ZL1 can perform
I've been a Chevy [and Pontiac] guy for over 60 years. After seeing this video it makes me want to go out and buy one of these Camaros. Damn, that would be one hell of a rush for me, driving around the Daytona speedway in that car only at a much slower pace. The driver got up to 168 mph and I'm sure it would have gone faster. One Great adrenaline rush [phew].
I'm Blue Oval/GT-350R all the way but I felt that ZL-1 in my nether regions like the beast C6 Z06/ZR-1 does. I thoroughly enjoyed your outing and the car definitely put on a show. Liked/Subscribed.
Did you use an external mic for the audio, or is that from the go pro mic? Doing a track day of my own soon and hoping I can capture audio as clearly as you did. Awesome car and great driving!
Maaaan soon as you hit the opening and went WOT I just was smiling and laughing beast mode those other zl1 must have just been out to cruise because you were killing the track
Great video, great driving. It seems odd you passed everyone as if they were standing still. Is this your first time on a high a super speedway? I have a 2022 Callaway ZL1 1LE. I had 4 track days in it in September. They are awesome cars. My bucket list item is to drive it on a super speedway such as Daytona.
Luv this video! the ZL1 is most def my dream car and seeing this video and im debating on getting one! bro u did a great job driving it on the track and Ur car sounds great! Keep the videos coming!
Wow randomly watching this video thinking of ham it is, then to find a sun works sticker on one of your older cars lol think I’ve met you through Dre/new or at Cory’s house before. If I’m not mistaken your in a Porsche now. You always posted racing related things on Facebook. What a small world! Dope can’t wait for new vids
Yo dude whats up! I showed this to New, we are in europe together right now. Thats awesome that this video popped up for you. I love making them and I hope I can continue. Hope we can hang again soon. Toss me a sub if you havent already!
It has a few mild things but nothing over the top. Catless headers, exhaust, intake and a pump gas tune, but I feel like the car would still be wicked fast regardless.
Holy shit man. Is this an open track event or something? I have a bunch of friends that would love to do this. We did a toys for tots run up here in Michigan at the speedway in December of last year. The ZL1 is definitely a beast.
Car is definitely prepped very well for that track. Excellent set up. Look and sound awesome. Apparently the car had more in it, noticed you let up a few times a little sooner, and got on it a little later coming out of the S-curve. Great job on this video. Spot on with the view. Thank you very much for sharing. Looking forward to more vids. Definitely subscribing!
@Ed J.L like I said, the car had more in it to go faster(more throttle), which seemed like you could push it a little more a couple of times. I own two ZL1s. Both 2021. One is an all black Zl1, and the other is a white Zl1 1LE. I run Michelin Sport Cup tires on both cars. I found they heat up quicker in cooler weather and better in the rain. The Goodyear Supercar tires felt like I was on teflon
nice line. killed your rev limiter. any problems since?? Exhaust mod?? A little slippage, slightly later braking, little faster thru chicane might start nipping 2 flat. Next outing!
Thanks for watching! Never had any issues with the engine. Sold the car after 30k hard miles just needed to retighten the sway bar end links. Also went back and managed a 2:00, just mever took video :(
Hey! so the best method is motorsportreg.com, just searching for an event that might interest you, they have most track days there plus autocrosses. Also look up your local SCCA chapter they have autocross and usually Driving Events at every racing event. Track Night In America is also a good way to get your feet wet, this was that event, usually not very well run but its extremely cheap. I work for Hooked On Driving and we travel to many tracks in Florida, so check them out too at Hookedondriving.com
