RPM News Weekly host, Rich Taber, ventures forth through five inches of New England snow with the 2018 Dodge Challenger GT AWD while recapping earlier adventures at Club Motor Sports in snowy New Hampshire with the exciting muscle car.
Sold! I'm from N. Minnesota and we got Ice, Snow (and -35 degrees) from Nov. to May. Yea, I get the 8 cylinder thing but with three children in college, I get one car and this is it. Thanks for the vid man.
I'm subscribing to your channel..I am an engineer for one of the BIG 3 and enjoy your no frills way of reporting..unlike the other gimmicky reviewers on RU-vid...
Was fun seeing this on that snow track. But I live in Maine. I want to see it go up an incline, pull down a steep driveway, or take some pretty sharp turns with a normal person driving responsibly. I love your enthusiasm, and it's funny how you didn't skip the part we all hate (clearing off the snow) Keep up the good work guys.
The day with the blue car started out in Portland Maine, but there wasn't much snow on the regular street. Dodge was nice about letting us 'have at it' so we could't resist a little company sanctioned immaturity. All and all the AWD Challenger is very impressive in the snow and handles cornering really well. I'd have loved to have tried it with snow tires. If we happen to get it again w/ some snow on the ground, we'll try to get some of the shots you suggested.. Thanks for watching! Btw, you can watch the full Challenger video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cWKy-YcCmqI.html
I own a challenger. Its kinda strange watching one dance in the snow so effortlessly. I'm guessing there is some jeep magic on the working end of the car.
I really need to get me one of these especially since I live in the tundra of Minnesota. I currently own a 09 SE RWD and brought it last summer and can confirm that older Challengers were not made for snow.
Yeah but then he will burn out the transmission. This transmission is tuned specifically to this v6 and suspension. The R/T, Scat Pack, Hellcat etc each have their own specific transmissions tuned accordingly.
Type of fancy vehicle that the camaros and the mustangs will never have-AWD! Im a camaro fan but if you live in Canada this car won’t do shit. Chevy and Ford never really care about ordinary daily drivers.
