If you multiply 2576•35= 90,160 that's the price of the car. But then if u divide 2576/35= 73.6 and they showed u on the battery that the HP is 757. So if u divide 757/73.6=10.3 and that's the 1/4 mile time.
I love how all you haters just keep on hating, just cause you can't afford it don't mean you need to hate, if you didn't like the car or the brand then why are you following the news on it. if it is truley a piece of shit then why is the rest of the auto world trying to keep up with Dodge? I don't see anyone jumping ahead of them. Suckers! lol.
Keep up with who? Hey when Ford made a 500hp GT500 in 07 where was dodge? When Ford made a 540hp Gt500 in 2010 where was dodge? When Chevy made a 580hp ZL1 in 2012 where was dodge? When Ford made a 662hp Gt500 in 2013 where was dodge? What's funny is that the HELLCAT was released in 2015... BOTH FORD and GM knew that was on the market... What do they release AFTERWARDS? Oh a 500ish HP N/A car and a 650hp supercharged car... Face it... Neither GM or Ford Respect you guys.. Neither company wasted their time responding to the hellcat..... I like the cat for some reasons, but don't get the facts twisted now...
Reno Diaz you're fanboying a little. Yeah dodge is making some awesome cars but don't pretend like every other car maker isn't. Hell, even Kia is stepping up their game with the Stinger GT.
Alright hear me out guys. The license plate says 2576 x 35. If you multiply that you get 90,160.... The demon will have 90,160 hp. And the crate is a new engine because as soon as you crank it your engine grenades!
NO!. those number mean the amount of cars that will be produced. i work at dodge. and know the information. 850 HP 757=pound feet of torch license plate is the amount of people who will have a plate on there demon. so to see the number you need to multiply those number. 2576@35= 90,161 cars will be produced. 2576/35=$73,600 car will cost.. 0-60 in 3 seconds
My neighbors cousin works at the milford proving grounds. He found out the demon will have 4000 horsepower and 7000 torque. 0-60 in 2 seconds faster than 0.
They have different makes and models at milford . They compare the competition . I live in highland, each day in the am it's all manufacturer plated cars headed out there,
it is not an on the assembly line car like the hellcat. It will only be made when ordered from a dealer ship by a customer. The only reason I know is cause I live in Brampton, Ontario where the Charger, challenger and 300's are made and have many friends that work in the dodge factory this is just what I've been told
Demon = 2576 cfm @ 35lbs of boost Hellcat = 704 cfm @ 9.565 lbs of boost If you calculate what we know from the hellcat and plug in the new psi of 35 then we magically get the number 2576. 704cfm/9.565lbs=73.6 (73.6 cfm / 1lb of boost on hellcat) 73.6x35=2576cfm So 2576 cfm @ 35lbs of boost for the Demon The math checks out perfectly
Sorry Dodge...But I've personally watched friends experience the absolute worst customer service imaginable as far as warranty coverage is concerned regarding the Hellcat...and you want how much for this new thing?! (Slow Clap)
NO NO Its bad man...Threads are popping up all over about warranty issues with the sports car class. I keep hearing about it at car meets. nightmare stories.
Why would you need a warrany for a 99 Durango transmission? Why not put the right ATF 4 fluid in and make sure the check ball valve is working properly on cooling line. Idiots online act like chevys 700R4 and Saginaw transmissions were saints, they were some of the biggest pieces of shit that actually had stress cracks & physical integrity problems. Keep a Chrysler trans cooler line unblocked and use the right fluid and you'll never have a problem.
BigC awd is lame. Why should they make it all wheel drive? The fastest 60 ft and quarter mile times on the planet all come from rear wheel drive cars. Awd would just add weight to an already too heavy car
Lmao all these people talk shit how because car is well its amazing the boat can keep up with paper light wieght cars and not losing badly bit the hellcat eats them all up and a demon stepping in that's the end for all the paper light wieght cars that make think their fast by decreasing wieght. Why was a the charger hellcat called the fastest production sedan because there hasn't been a sedan car that can beat it and if its up against a challenger hellcat with other muscle cars its still the fastest in stock. All I know people like these in the comments always hate and want their cars to be the fastest when dodge continues to murder. All i know is that I support and love dodge. Go mopar power!!! Molar no car
Actually it was called the fastest sedan simply because of the top speed it could reach, which, lets me real...isn't relevant to 99.999% of us. Tesla eats the Hellcat up. Don't get me wrong though, I love the Charger over all and I'm looking at the ScatPack Charger more and more. My brother has a 2014 Jeep SRT with a big turbo on it and I gotta admit, the 8 speed transmission in his Jeep is a turd. 3 of them blew up already and it only makes 800hp.
If you type it in correctly the license plate numbers are coordinates, take the coordinates on google maps and you will zoom down to someone holding a sign with all your questions answered.
mohammad1111111 didn't know 2+5+7+6=23 kinda was thinking =20 but maybe my GED isn't worth the paper it was printed on. safe to assume your prediction is off.. nice try though
Fabian Perez drag cars still need to handle for their purpose. Also, weight is a killer no matter what style racing. Shedding weight is always a plus. Challengers are heavy and the platform is old. If they want to be kings of horsepower, that's fine, but it's competitors are taking a more modern approach by shedding weight more efficiently and more advanced aero designs.
I can garentee you that the only reason dodge is willing to put this kinda hp in the challenger is because of how large this chassis is. You can have this kinda of power and still somewhat be able to control it in a rwd platform.
Miguel Flores at least dodge is the only one who produces a car that LOOKS like a muscle car, the mustang and camaro arent muscle anymore, theyre sports, they look like imports. at least what dodge fails in weight, gains in power, this car is the body builder of the car world. keep hating. (i love both chevy and mustangs but challenger any day)
KD DOCE If you honestly want speed then get a twin turbo gtr. if you a fun awd car that had SOUND get a demon. Driving a tesla was the most boring thing i have ever done in my life. let alone you need to ve over 80% charge to go fast if you have a 50% charge or lower your 0-60 times decreases
Charles Consagra the p100d with the latest update can do 0-60 in 2.2 seconds which is ludicrous Faster than any hypercar let al9ne muscle cars And it can do about a 9.9 1/4 So yea a p150d would be able to smoke this
KD DOCE youbact like the tesla is the only electric car.... its not.... try rimac which is FAST ALL THE TIME NO MATTER THE CHARGE! Tesla need a certain charge to keep it 2.2 sec 0-60 on a 15% charge its gonna take 4.0+ sec to get to 60.
Basically repackaged hellcat with a wide body kit and 315's, and you guys are losing your fucking minds. Hellcat is fat it doesn't need more horsepower it needs to be lighter the 2014 mustang gt500 keeps up with the hellcat. This is how companies make money off of dumb people.
The problem is. Dodge learned something with the sales of the Hellcat. Us Americans speak the language of horsepower. Im with you though. I don't understand why people are getting so hyped about this Demon. Its just gonna be a hellcat with more power and street legal drag radials. The Hellcats are decent cars, but they are heavy cars with a badly outdated chasis. I wish Dodge would actually care about that part of these cars for once.
Thanks for the shoutout bro. I hadn't even seen those dyno specs til watching this vid! And fyi, I'm no troll. I do work for them and that was info I shared from someone who works in the Brampton assembly plant where the Demon will be and is being made. More than anything, I'm just a big fan of this beast of a car. Love the weekly teasers. Can't wait to buy one. And glad Chrysler released that dyno pic to prove what I said was legit!
That crate is the best thing Dodge has ever made! Demon comes with one full of Tools, a first aid kit and 10 gallon gas drum! Dodge will introduce the Dodge Satan next with over 2,000 whp/tq and weighs 2,000 lbs! It will send you straight to hell!
chevy and ford have no car to make that kind of hype.. camaro zl1 lol it ll make 621hp 650 610 that that and that and never crossed 700 and mustang lol mustang is going backwrd 4 cylinder honda engine with turbo on it
I'm just proud to live in a country that we do get to have disagreements about something as stupid my car is faster then yours like a bunch of third graders arguing. gotta love it. Go Dodge Go, burn'em to the ground.
during frame-by-frame inspection of the teaser released by dodged entitled performance pages. it revealed that its zero to 60 will be in 3 seconds and it will have 757 horsepower however it also showed that the red key was off so it might have up to 900 horsepower with the red key and only 757 with the normal it showed it has a drag mode and a street and mode and performance braking I hope this helps
I'm not hating it, but do not understand all the hype....it's a challenger! Some add ons and more power but it's a CHALLENGER. Make a NEW car, and use a NEW name. Otherwise just call it a "new and improved" hellcat. I love Mopars,(own a 68 plymouth) but just don't get all this commotion!
i love how everyone is camparing it to imports and electric cars, thats not what these are made for this is made for the American who loves huge cars with huge power not some little lawnmower that handles well and is all wheel drive, this thing is made for 1/4 miles and burning tires
Hoping to bring back the Duster and Valient, but that is under the Plymouth nameplate for these compact cars. Plymouth has been going out of automobile business in 2001, but it sure to bring back memories just like Dodge Dart.
Looks exactly like a Challenger though. You think Dodge would've at least tried to make look different or like the old Demon/Duster. Why wouldn't they just call it the Challenger. Makes no sense.
I've seen pictures of the new line where they take the Challenger body and cutting out the rear quarter panel to add these beefed up fender flares. The front fenders are done the same and I heard the flares are heavily reinforced laser welded.
Any one else figured out that there is probably gonna be another car in the Challenger performance lineup with the hell cat and the demon? Think about it, most things are done in trilogies not simple sequels, as well as the names: The Hellcat is the servant of the Demons which reside in the underworld, thusly why we have the Hellcat and the Demon, but what people forget is that a Demon is just a servant of the Devil, in the same way the Hellcat serves the Demon. Honestly I'm expected a car to be announced in a few years time called the Dodge Devil and it will most definitely be heaps more insane than the Hellcat or Demon could ever imagine being!
Rockerarm system in the video( 6:04) is a Viper style needle bearing Rockerarm with all 8 rockerarms in line with each other , not the same Hemi style Shaft rockerarm system with the intakes at the top of the cyclinder head and the exhaust rockerarms at the bottom of the head, which is used currently in the hellcat.
mabey that's why in the one video you see the air going in other the ram hood and into the two headlighta. we see where the hood air goes but not the rest
My guess is the serial number represents hp to the wheels 757 and in the picture of the console is based on hp at the crank 924 to be exact. So 924 at the crank and 757 at the wheels
I just added up all the years of the challenger. 4th gen is (2008 -2019) And it comes out to 35 I'm pretty sure What 2576@35 is like saying "I'm 35 and weigh 2576 pounds" now that is a really low weight for the car I know but maybe they use a lot of carbon fiber, just a thought
redslate32 I realized that a few hours after I posted, saw an r/t in the Kroger parking and thought there's no damn they could make it weigh 2500 pounds 😂
Why can't they make it look like a Demon? How's a wide-body challenger a Demon? Shouldn't it be smaller and lighter, have single headlights, and the proper demon tail lights? I'd be happy if they just gave it single headlights and the demon tail lights, honestly.
I'm going to tell you my prediction is that dodge challenger going to be a shakedown between two legendary muscle cars 2018 gt500 & 2018 dodge challenger demon, but I do believe both will be in the high 700+ range it will be good for dodge challenger to counter all that weight
This is my DREAM CAR..... ON STEROIDS!!! But I think this is 1 of those cars THEY ARE ONLY GOING TO MAKE SO MANY. 757 specialty models, and 2576 regular models in 35 months. Don't quote me on this cause it JUST A GUESS !!! I REALLY DON'T HAVE A CLUE. SEEMS COOL THO LOL
Jalopnik’s 9/15/14 4:15pm Source: Hellcat Dyno'd Up To 825 HP But May Have Emission Issues "There's some really interesting technical details here as well: the source claims Chrysler has been testing the Hellcat engine with a Mazda MAF (mass air flow) sensor and a wideband O2 sensor, neither of which have been used by Chrysler. Chrysler uses a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor to figure out the density of air coming into the engine, but it appears that the Hellcat is being used as a testbed for future Chrysler use of MAF-based systems" I would guess Dodge finally got it thru emissions, but again I also think they baited everyone.....bragging about 707 hp made the other scramble just to get close to that number and then when they do BAM!
I was hoping this video would have some new perspective but it seems like it has nothing more than we already know. everyone is pointing out the 757 but ignoring the 1121. I don't think that's the HP but it is obviously a clue (1121hp and 757tq, too crazy) I just want to point out the picture with 900hp is just a render. first off, it's the dash from a Durango. Second, any gear head knows how HP and TQ relate. if you look at it closely you can see it generates roughly 825ftlb at 6200rpm. That's 973hp.
Modern Muscle is about to be big even more. Back in the 60's 70's 80's was the golden era. Chevy Ford and Dodge is definitely making huge gains especially dodge. Dodge is not playing. I expect Chevy and Ford to come out with something huge of their own. Maybe The new ZR-1 or Z-28 will be crazy or the GT-500. We just have to Wait.
This Is a Fast car, for 60 or 75K. If you can aford this car than you can AFFORD a TESLA model S. NEWS FLASH the TESLA model S is faster than anything Dodge puts out! TESLA'S smoke Lamborghini's!! :) I fired Dodge because they are garbage.
I personally think all these speculations of 999/1000+HP from factory is just too high and not realistic. Dodge is already in the lead as far as highest horsepower from it's competitors, ford, chevrolet, from a business point of view it wouldn't make any sense.. BUT! A Challenger with just a different package, some new demon badges, 50 more HP, wider tires to give it a more aggressive look, and some really sick looking teasing trailers showing a mystery challenger with secret messages getting people excited and wanting to bust out there wallet before they even know what it is DOES make sense, don't get your di*ks all wet yet...
The 2576 is 2576 cc per revolution displacement of the supercharger. The Hellcat's supercharger displaces 2380 cc per revolution. The @ 35 is the ratio of the supercharger lobes. For every 3 turns on the primary lobe drives 5 turns of the secondary lobe. This is same ratio as on the Hellcat, only the Demon's supercharger's displacement is larger. The 757 is likely the brake horsepower with this incrementally larger supercharger. Everyone is ignoring the 1011 VIN number, which is likely the maximum number of Demons that will be produced.
The car has 815hp & 757 ft-lb on race gas. I can prove it with the "#2576@35" clue: Just search youtube for "2018 Dodge Demon Power & Torque". It's the 1:19 long video.
it could be 757 to the wheels? HCs I've seen put down around 600 stock ..My SP performance pages regularly hit 490~ but it's around 415 to the wheels ..so 757 would be about 150hp gain..to the wheels for a HC
I think that at 2:00 where the tag is shown it is a clue about torque, because the #( number sign) is also the sign for pound. I obviously don't think the demon will make 2,576 ft lb of torque. I think the 2576 is representative of a high torque number and I think the @ 35 means that the demon will reach max torque at 3500 rpm.
I don't know if you covered this before or just missed it. But on the intake video after the air filter and throttle body it is shown spinning in dual vortex with a whine. That means one thing. SUPERCHARGED! Also if that in dash dyno is correct I would surmise that the steep upslopes of power is the supercharger kicking in. You would have to be pushing some large boost and timing changes to keep all that in tune. just my thoughts.
It may NEED 900HP ........when a 707HP Hell Cat can get spanked at the drag strip by electric Tesla's with constancy........it's time to recognize the real challenge isn't just Ford and GM.
I work for Chrysler too! It's coming out on April Fools' Day so this whole demon thing is just a joke. It will acually be hybrid and the new generation is coming out in 2019 fully electric! Fuck yea America! True American muscle car made in Canada lol
#2576@35 = the new supercharger displacement 2576 or 2.6L and the manifold pressure of 35psi or about 20 lbs of boost. Slightly larger blower with a few more psi than a Hellhippo.
Every person Ive ever seen buy a dodge has regretted it. Especially when it comes to their "perfomance cars".. Dodge sucks dongs. Yeah it will start for the first 6 months.. after that you're on your own.. Just youtube the droves of previous dodge scat pack and hell cat buyers.. Stangs and Vettes and SSs if you want a car that'll start after the first 6 months.. You've earned your reputation as a shit car company Dodge after leaving your customers high and dry.. well done!
I can see no success for racers burning up rubber, with 25% more horsepower than F-1, and Indy Racing cars. It will not be financially viable, and , when driven on the street , at 900 hp, dozens of young men will lose their lives wrapped around trees. Sorry.
damn I used to run 315 NT555R's on my terminator and now there coming stock on cars now. how things have changed. crazy!! I had to roll my fenders to fit those things. I know they run 355s on vipers but for a pony car that's impressive!!
Because of the @ sign I was guessing maybe torque @ 3500 RPM? Or 35 as 3/5 a date when you could get one. Also the #2 for 2nd run of demon when it ended in 76? We need weird Al!
I don't care if it's packing 1200hp and a set of bald eagle nuts hanging from the rear view mirror, Dodge needs to wake the fuck up and fire whoever's been in charge of the design department. You'd think the Challenger wouldn't still look like the same car from 10 years ago with a few additions from ebay.
Dodge put the # 1121 in the VIN #. Ford put the # 1121.8 in the mileage section on the dash readout in their mustang ads. Could these # represent foot pounds of torque? I`m thinking we may see 900 hp in both.
I worked for IHI Turbo in Illinois last year and I was on the Chrysler line building the supercharger/intake for the hellcats. In may or june of last year we built about a dozen experimental units that had longer rotors in the supercharger (about 19 mm). I'm guessing these were for the Demon.
informant from ROUSH in MI said they tested hellcat motors stating they had to make a minimum of 675 hp or they got sent back they received the contract to make sure the demon motor produces a minimum of 800hp or they get sent back. 800+ is what we are looking at I do believe.
900 Hp..will spell the dark ages for dodge again...I'm guessing the max printed HP..will be....drum roll....."777"...take it to the bank..It looks good as a hood decal....trust me......"777"...with devil flames like a slot machine
I work for Chrysler and everybody is already getting training for the SRT Demon and it still has the exact same HP and Torque. It's a hellcat with after market parts basically. Just like the Daytona is a regular RT with after market parts.
There is speculation on other videos that the # on the license plate has something to do with the size of the Supercharger. Some guy really broke it down there.
I love the horse power competition between manufacturers but 100 grand... not only will these all mostly be wrecked but I'd build something else before I thought of dropping 100 grand plus taxes on a car....
Oh boi, I'm only 15 but the Dodge Challenger srt hellcat is my dream car, they just keep making it better and better (no this ain't really the hellcat but still) I probably won't own one coz they are expensive.
I believe the license plate is 2576 RPM @ 35 Miles per hour. With Dodge saying everything in the video means something. The lighting that is cutting though the air out of the inner headlight, may be a key to the use of laser lighting which is legal in Europe on high end sports cars. I wonder ig dodge is trying to work out a deal to get laser lighting approved for over here.
I think it may have 939 hp due to the serial saying 757 and vin saying 1121 so I'm assuming you add them both and divide by two which sounds pretty legit if it's truee that it pushes over 900
That's good and all, but if it's going to be called a "DEMON" shouldn't it have the louvered tail lights like the original? Otherwise it looks just like a challenger from behind.
Rumor says it will be AWD. Though have tiny tires up front would defeat the purpose. What is your thoughts? AWD or RWD? The burnout looked like there more than just two tire marks left on the burnout.
