Recently I had the opportunity to check out the 2018 Ducati SuperSport S. What a very cool machine. Special thanks to Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry, NH.
I dont understand why people say this is a slow bike, in my mind it competes with 600's up to a point but power wise it has a little less hp but more torque, idk. Tbh this is my dream bike because it did everything right. Its a gorgeous bike, you get a lightweight sportbike that doesnt have you in full tuck 100% of the time, and you get 80% of your torque at 3k rpm and yes high revving engines are fun but for the street i think this bike is amazing
I've liked the Duc SuperSport since its introduction a few years ago...... Its gorgeous, but better than the looks is the fact that this motorcycle is made for real riding, its comfortable, accessible and usable for the road. If I had to pick a Ducati to own, this would likely be the one I'd choose.
I own the white s model and love her. She definately has an autoblilper standard. To me this is a sports bike that sacrifices top end for comfort and even some mileage. This bike can easily do a track day and is great for sports riding. You undersell how darn good this thing handles. I found the suspension stiff stock, so much so my front would often lift at lean when I hit bumps in the hills, after spending some time dialing it all in I can tell you the suspension on the s model is well worth the price difference. Where I have it set it's plush on the road but still firm enough in the mountains. This is the best bike that will get you to work and back but also be your nimble sports bike on the weekend and with a full exhaust it sounds like a proper Ducati! Also if straight line speed is your thing it's worth mentioning how easy she is to launch. With full throttle she'll only lift slightly, in other words while the R1 you're dragging off the lights needs the correct amount of throttle, you just hit full throttle and beat him unless the rider actually knows what he's doing, it's a lot of fun!
@@DavidMossMGS it's all about discipline. Personally I would start on something smaller though. You're always going to end up a better rider if you work up the ranks. Start on something small and learn to ride the shit out of it before moving up. Starting on something that intimidates you is not good for progression. If you're not interested in learning to ride well and just want a 'show bike' and commuter, then you might be alright providing you're disciplined. But I certainly wouldn't classify it a beginner bike.
I have owned Honda 600 sport-bikes all my life but now own a Ducati Supersport S and this thing is amazing. Out handles them hands down, so flickable, the torque is sublime, it accelerates like a banshee, seat is great I can ride it for hours on end. Mirrors are blurry but Ducati recalled them so they will be replacing them here in Canada...I simply love mine !!!
@@xJae14x sorry for late response. The Duc seat is by far superior in every way to my CBR's. You are more upright but still sporty enough to easily get in full tuck position. I simply love the ergo's. Ride all day with any issues.
Um, yes it does have an auto blipper for downshifting. New color for the base is titanium grey for 2019 models. Recall on the vibrating mirrors has been issued starting in January 2019.
Hi, The Ups: Very nice review, tasty content, nice editing, good voice. The downs: Ducati has an autoblipper- clutch less down shifts all day The neutral: Always good to show off some optional extras in close ups that you do so good. Not many people do that!! Nice bike, Why were all the reviews of the bike for the S model. and no videos that compare the bass model suspension with the S model suspension ? I always think of Ducati as a Ferrari on two wheels because of the performance and red color. so the white one just doesn't have the same specialness for me. how much would it cost to put a quick shifter on the non S model including labor ? I just recently found a 2019 Supersport non s model for sale. it is really clean with only 2.200 Km on it. and I am considering buying it. love the look of it. and the tone of the V twin engine.
Who are you? Marc Marquez? This thing would do just fine on a track. Believe it or not, motorcycles didn't always make 160 hp and people had plenty of fun on them anyway.
Nice review! Beautiful bike. I always thought the power was underwhelming but I’m starting to reconsider after all the reviews I’ve read. Also, put on a pair of SC Project slip-ons and the bike sounds amazing!!!!
Nice review Dev. I see you're branching out beyond Mom's, nice. I don't know if it's how the audio is coming through but, you keep saying it sounds nice, to me, it sounds a little harsh, like it's thrashing. I guess sweet sound is in the ear of the beholder. P.S. like the bloopers.
