I work for Ford and I drove this around a small track, Alongside the Suburban and I can say the Expedition is so much better. It feels planted around tight corners, very little body roll,amazing B&O sound system and 400HP is pretty dam good too.

Really nicely updated, but the price went WAAAY up to cover the improvements. I had a 2016 and to get the same in a 2018 is about 8K more. I have a feeling that once the initial interest wears off, they will need healthy incentives to keep selling.

So to get mini-van capacity you need the Max? I occasionally haul 4x8 sheet goods and the hatch needs to close. I also assume this is the basis for the new Navigator?

Is this an extended length version? The rear overhang looks really long. If this is the standard version, how much longer is this overhang in the extended version? Shouldn't Ford have lengthened the wheel base?

this truck competes with the GM Yukon, Chevy Suburban and in that respect, they could be even. But when you add the Denali package, the Expedition comes in at the bottom. No shade..

that's what confuses me the most, they had the opportunity to create something new. This is the company who built the Ford Excursion. Taking the Ford Explorer and making it bigger, for me it misses the mark. I don’t really see the innovation in it. And I know Ford thinks the new V6 is cute, I don’t. And I haven’t mentioned price, what Fords wants for the new Lincoln Navigator is ridiculous, it’s not ninety-thousand dollars truck.

Dan Carlton I disagree that it looks like a Tahoe at all and I know you think because I have the Chevy Avatar that I am just a Chevy Fanboy but I've owned both Ford and Chevy I've had two Ford Expeditions and an F350 6.0 liter diesel I learned the hard way and I'll never go back I still think the expedition looks somewhat like a van I'm obviously being a little tongue and cheek about it

they downsized cadillacs and lincolns a dozen times since the 70s (and eventually did away with them altogether - simply re badging malibus and tauruses.) but they can still make a "sport utility vehicle" the size of an aircraft carrier.

"The modern world bids you adieu." -- Bullshit. Mercedes is already going back to stalk on the column. Others will, too. There was for a while an affectation of automatic shifter on the floor. That pretense is slowly disappearing as well. So if you like, you can get stuck in another passing fad, but many of us know what works, and it is coming back.
