I almost bought a Wright stander 4 years ago, but the dealer network absolutely sucked, and asking questions in MY area (western PA) resulted in the dealer looking in the sales fliers hanging on the wall! Didn't even know there was such a thing as a Gravely Pro Stance, but started calling dealers in the area, and the Gravely dealer went out of his way to get me a demo, WHILE I was mowing a huge lawn in the area! It now has almost a thousand hours on it, and the only break downs I've had was the PTO clutch bearing went bad, and a starter connection corroded enough it wouldn't start one morning! Still has the original belt on it! Mines a 52" with the Kaw 690 on it. It's top of the line!

A pick up truck may be a little steep depending on the angle of the ramp. There is more rear weight when standing on it. But it is easy enough to load and unload off a trailer with no issues

vegass04 I have both, if I could only have one it would be a stander. Here’s why, they are so much easier to hop on and off of to pick up trash and debris. You have better visibility because you can see around the entire machine. We also can put a back pack blower on and blow off long driveways with out having to walk them. Price wise standers used to be cheaper, they still are a little bit. But they have gone up in price due to the high demand. As far as fatigue I haven’t had any issues if I’m being completely honest. Some will say “it’s because your young.” Now that may be true but I know several guys that are older in this industry that run standers also. They are surprisingly comfortable. If you’re cutting open fields all day get a zero turn. If you do a lot of houses and cut some commercial properties definitely demo one and see what you think 👍🏼. Thank you for watching!

I understand, but I have a Pro-Stance 52 and the flap just folds up. This one you have to unscrew and flip around. Something that should be changed for future models. Thanks for watching!

I agree, I would love too see a 32 for the really small gates. That's what I could really use for some of my yards.

JC'sLawnTips We have a wright 32 hydro wish we never would have bought it.just too many problems with the wright . We have an very old gravely 34 belt drive ran it for 16 years with no problems until the engine said Im tired and it was over. But were buying a new engine for it because it has been very good for us. We just got the gravely 36 pro stance and waiting to see if they come up with a 32 if so mark it sold .

I agree.. In this order - Suspension foot platform, FX engine and Factory chute blocker.. (could probably live without Factory chute blocker).. No suspension foot platform is a possible deal breaker for me. Need that.. Comfort is a must have!! I thought this mower already had a Suspension foot platform..

Down south there are a lot of tight yards with gates so the guys down there love them. A lot of people just want to eliminate a push mower for the gated yards.

No doubt Wright makes a good mower. Standing behind the machine isn't a bad thing. If you put the two side by side they are the same length, with the platform folded up. The Wright may feel shorter because you are standing in closer. My Pro-stance has 500 hours on it and I have never had to replace a belt. Gravely has their CBT. Constant belt tensioning system, keeping the belts tensioned at all times. 👍

seems replacing OEM springs with other non-OEM springs is quite common in this industry gator belt???

Not that I know of, but I guess anything is possible 😁

Oil is to be changed after the first 10 or 25 hours. Then every hundred hours or annually. The only grease points on this mower are on the caster wheels themselves (the rim). The caster forks have sealed bearings which do not require greasing. The hydro fluid should be changed after the first 75 hours then every 400 hours. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching.

he was referring to the 52 model while making that comment because the 52 has the deflector on a hinge instead of bolted in which makes more sense.

Don't take this the wrong way because I'm a huge Gravely fan and I actually own a 2017 460 with the Yamaha 33hp EFI engine..However why is Gravely putting a FS engine and just 3100 Hydros on a commercial unit..it just makes it kinda seem like "barely commercial"...I mean I can kinda understand the small Hydros but that engine should be a FX..js

IMO..If it doesn't have the Donaldson Air Filtration System..it ain't commercial..js

You can change the height of it in seconds

I would definitely recommend mowing at full throttle because otherwise you will slow down the speed of the blades (tip speed). Which might not cut as well

Thank you David! I am in the Midwest (Wisconsin), I don't think you will ever see any of my machines with a mulching kit. The grass grows to much in one week. I see a lot of guys down south with mulch kits. It really depends on your area. I have a chute blocker on my Pro-Stance 52. It really helps to keep grass out of mulch beds. You can also close it to mulch leaves in the fall. The only with a chute blocker on the smaller mowers like a 36 is that it will add a little bit of width to the machine which may affect which gates you can fit it through!

It might depend on your area too. It will cut at 8mph, but it might not be a clean cut if its tall thick grass 👍
