The machine is a monster. I have been thoroughly pleased with the productivity and ease of use of this machine. Oil changes are easy. The machine handles very well. Deep deck.
Jonathan I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart from all I have learned from you since last fall. As I started studying mowers Gravely was my last choice, even after seeing this review. Well I have just paid my truck off, and with months of in-depth study of every commercial mower make and model, The ProStance has proven to come out on top. I'll be taking advantage of the Mow The Distance promotion on 3/20/20. With my first commercial purchase. Thanks again friend. From Warrior Alabama God bless.
Good luck with your 460. I have the same machine, didn't cut with it yet. also have a 52 BobCat stand on great machine ,I hope the Gravely is as good as my Bob Cat
I wish they made a 32 inch cut like you I do all small yards. But a lot of gates here are only 33 inches wide. I had bought a gravely 34 inch cut and found out the hard way it was just too wide. We bought 32 inch wright mowers which fit through the gates. I still use the gravely where we can and have been using it for 12 years now. Its a old belt drive but it gets the job done. They are both walk behind the wright is the hydro model.
Get your self a Milwaukee m18 impact gun they work great changing your blades big time saver. I have some gravelys and wright mowers and snappers. Good luck with the gravely.
If I may ask I’m looking for a zero turn mower for residential you u say stick with a 36 on any zero turn not sure I can get stand on been looking at walk behind and riding zero turn and one other thing what would u say would be lowest hp I should get thks and as always great videos
Just purchased the new 2020 gravely pro stance 36". I am operating this completely by myself and only want one mower. I am in Florida and mostly 1/4 acre lots. What do you think about running just the 36" mower due to back gates and not having one mower sitting on a trailer not being used at all times!?
My main concern is changing the blades with ease, SCAG units are able to be zipped off from the top, I don’t like having to crawl under a heavy machine more than once to change my blades
How does the mower handle bumps on slopes? From other videos I've watched online it seems to throw the user around a bit. I want to buy a stand on to use in conjunction with my "steering wheel" mower (Greenfield Fast Cut Deluxe II). The stand on appeal for me is being able to stretch my legs instead of sitting down, and the ability to shift my weight depending on the slope. I just don't want to rush into spending $15k on this and being disappointed :(
based on price per price would you go with it or a scag v ride or the gravely. I think the gravely is more than the scag is out the door, what was the warranty with the gravely?
Grass Monkey Lawn Care My dealer said they had issues with v-rides for a while.. v-ride was a little more expensive out the door. I couldn't be happier with the gravely. Excellent cut.
No, I really have not. I was concerned because of the small tires, but it has been a non issue. That being said, we change up our cutting directions each time on properties to help with rutting. I don't feel this machine ruts any worse than mowers with bigger tires. -Jonathan C.
Yes. The Gravely will be the only mower for now... The plan is to bring the Hustler back out to start building out another route once we get maxed out in summer. Hoping I can have two trucks running by mid-summer. Will use the Hustler to put off the purchase of another Gravely until December 31st =)
With hills, I go up and come back down, backward. You are correct, I almost took out the fence, lucky I turn and slide side way just enough to bum side way.
You say good things about gravely mowers. Everywhere I look in reviews see bad reviews. They say that wasting money getting it. Do you have any problems with them. That you just don't tell about in your videos
I have 4 gravely stand on mowers with 1,000 plus hours on them. I have had zero major issues outside normal wear and tear; belts, cooling fins at about 700 hours on a couple of them.
@@FloridaTurfPros ok t was just curious about your experience with them.Because I have been thinking about getting rid of my old riding mowers and upgrading for my business and was considering possibly getting one of those. Because with how I watch you mow with them honestly they look to mow better than anyone else's mowers out of people I know
thanks for the video brother . i'm currently going crazy trying to pick the best 36 inch stander for me. i have it down to Wright I with the aero core deck at about 8,000 the new Ferris with the big back tires at around 7,200 or scag v-ride at 6,500. my main concern is i'm a big guy about 6'4 and 325 lbs. i don't want to be popping wheelies every time i go forward. and cut quality is the other factor. if anyone would like to give me some advice i'm all ears.
