Why the Gravely Prostance Stand On Wasn't For Me

After several month of having the Gravely Prostance 48" stand-on mower there is only one reason why I wouldn't buy it. The mower is built like a tank and has an amazing cut, but I feel like Gravely could change two things to make it even better...possibly the best! Watch the video and see what it is. Great video Ambro's Landscaping, I love my 52" Gravely Pro Stance yeah the fuel and suspension isn't the best but I love the rest of the machine!

Good video what year model was this one? I looked at a 2020 model today and the deck height was the pin style like a zero turn and now they have a big opening to see the fuel gauge but the platform seems to still be the same. I’m between this model 48 or the new wright stander B 48 since I’m probably only going to use on maybe 20 of my properties where my 60 inch just too big sometimes.

This was the 2019 or 2018 model...the one you saw is the newest version that Gravely came out with this year. They finally place a hole on the dash so you can see the fuel guard, they shaved about 100 lbs of weight off as well, plus changed the platform a little since it tilts you forward a little more. The 48" deck when it comes to tall grass is horrible but short grass is fine. Defiantly demo both mowers before buying but I think you will like the Wright Standard better. Hope this helps man 👍

Yea going to demo a gravely soon I’m down here in Tennessee and sometimes those 2 week yards can be a hand full. When it comes to the wright stand on my dealer don’t have a B for demo just the higher up models which sucks cause I’d want to demo the same model I’d be buying for sure. The gravely looks to be well built just concerned about the cut

Haven't ever owned a mower WITH a fuel gauge, it isn't like your gonna "drive" to the station to put gas in it, your likely gonna be filling (3/4's way) to fill in your trailer with your extra cans. I seen beach river did an update on gravelys "fixes" for coming winter stock. I'm so frugal I'm looking at 2-3 main things 1) price/value 2) ease of maintenance (I keep my machines longer than 99% of lawn dogs out here) & 3) smart engineering/ ROI (example I love the things Ferris did compared to wright in the 61 standers and HATE the grease fittings on Ferris, those $2400 (per side) drive motors that aren't isolated by side so if one side grenades BOTH sides are more than likely trash (unlike the wright) cut quality in central FL is as general as it gets in this area, you mow too fast with dull blades they ALL look like chit. If it were about editing and vid. Quality you'd get a gold 🌟 though 🤘😆 Edit 2: thumb 👍 is smashed

I have a 36” pro stance, the fuel gauge doesn’t bother me, I fill all my equipment daily when in use, so never an issue. I think I’ve actually looked at the gauge 3 times in 6 months, lol.... Also I do not own a zero turn, I run my 36” an eXmark 30” and 2 Honda hrc216’s..... In my area in Tx that I svc I don’t run into hills often, but in the short slopes I do run into, The Gravely tears it up a little bit, so i don’t run the 36” on those particular. Hmmmm got me thinking, is there another stander that is better on these slopes?

Another great review Ambros! On the market for a stand behind but leaning towards exmark because we’ve got a dealer close by. Also do you have a link to your filming gear? Your editing is clean and the color grading is slick.

Ambro's Landscaping Inc. good deal. I remember when you had both the Exmark and Toro 30’s. I was going to buy one but am hesitant due to many mixed reviews and am sticking with my Honda. Love the productivity of the 30’s but too many drawbacks for Toro/Exmark products. I have been hoping Honda would step into the 30” mower game but that doesn’t appear to be likely.

Fuel gauges are over rated. Trust me and i'm speaking from experience. They will let you know when they are out of gas. lol. Nice review. Thank you.

At least it has a fuel gauge, it could be worse. My Pro Turn has dual tanks and doesn't come with one at all. I haven't been able to find an aftermarket solution anywhere.

I rather have the fuel gauges hid, the sun will toast the plastic clear cover over time and then you can't see nothing, these guages are about $100

I've been using a 48" Walker for almost a decade but now my boss wants to buy one of these so I'm trying to watch videos to give her reasons to not buy one lol. The biggest con for me is the bagger and having to take that off to get into every backyard and it catching a quarter of the grass I catch now. There is a benefit tho when grass isn't growing that much and I could mow without a bag cuz with a Walker there's no option, I have to catch everything

@@AmbrosLandscapingInc ooooh I ran over a rabbit last year only saw a bit of fluff afterwards then I was in shock. The second wabbit I saw and I coerced it into the golf course bush. Then a big falcon started swooping for it but he got away. I was cutting 1.5ft grass and I use a mulcher so it vaporized it quickly. Sorry 🐇

I own one, I use the pro stance 52 and I love it. They handle hills and slopes alot better then riders I do agree moving the platform between the wheels would be a huge bonus. As far as suspension and the gas gauge, its a mower dude

Deck height handle hangs out way to much instead of being tucked in tight and close to the machine so it will snag trees, operator plateform is too far behind the wheels giving less traction, clearly cut quality is not good, this is all enough for me not too purchase it either.

The fuel gauge is there to save money for the buyer it’s practical
