If you are even just a little bit mechanically inclined, doing some of the standard maintenance on your bike can save you a lot of money. And standard maintenance would include adjusting your clutch. On the 2018 Harley-Davidson Iron 1200, the job only requires a total of four tools: a 1/2-inch wrench, a 9/16-inch wrench, a Torx 27, and a small flat-head screwdriver. Our task involves two separate adjustments at two different locations; one at the clutch cable itself and the other at the clutch hub.
If you'd rather not pony up for a motorcycle table or lift, a cheaper alternative to use is a free-standing wheel chock. We had another bike on our lift at the time, so we used our Harley-Davidson Cruiser Cradle Wheel Chock for the service.
