EDIT: The 2018 Accord Sport does have a touch screen. It is the LX model that does not. The Touring does also have heated rear seats. The buttons are on both rear doors.
Michael - Any car with directional designed wheels have one side 'spinning forward' and other side 'back', because they are the exact same rims. If they had to design one side of the car's rims different than the other side it would cost more and be impractical (can't rotate wheels). And yes go look at the 2018 TT RS with the 20" rims, they do the same thing.
I just bought one, I'm kind of worried about damaging the rims, my rep said they haven't seen any issues with it but he wanted the sale. Any tips for keeping them pristine?
I just picked up the 2.0t EX-L with the 10 speed auto transmission. I absolutely love this car. Amazing value. And damn she will flat haul ass. 0-60 in 5.4 seconds. Whoever says you can’t have both fuel economy and power never heard of the 2.0t Honda engine. 34 mpg on my last 3 hour trip running 80 mph on I-40.
Paul Johnson the EX-L has this wood grain paneling that doesn’t compliment the car. I just couldn’t over look it. We look at the dash/interior of the car majority of the time. Just couldn’t settle. May seem minor but it’s just terrible looking
@@gxer87 I went with the sport model instead of the EX and Touring, cuz the Sport is the only trim that comes with the Still Night Pearl Blue color and the rims on the sport are the best looking ones than EX and Touring! All the extra features were things I'd rarely to never use!
I have the 2018 sport in white and I never loved a car so much in my life. What u get for the price is great plus the new body model makes it look like a upscale luxury car I love it. Ps. The sport does have the touch screen with apple and android play too
I have a Sport.. and i have touch screen.. moonroof ,heated seats etc... there seems to be some big changes from the US Vs CND model.. i live in Canada..
I own a red 2018 1.5t Accord Sport. You missed the biggest feature difference in this comparison. Surprised to not even see it mentioned in the comments. 1.5t and 2.0 Sport are the ONLY trims you can get manual transmission. I highly recommend manual transmission. Absolute joy to drive.
I got a 19 sport 1.5 manual last week. Yep its fun to drive. I do not think the touring is worth all that extra money. Its still the same car with a few fancier features.
Great video. Question. Why are the LX's, EX's and the EX-L's have 33 MPG but Sport and Touring s get 31 MPG? Rumor is because of dual exhaust. Is that true? I think it is because of wheel base.
I have not heard an answer from Honda on that. But the Sport and Touring do have wider tires. That could be the reason. Wider tires create more friction. All of the Accords have duel exhaust, so that would not be it. I wonder if the CVTs are tuned a little different in the Sport and Touring models.
I always wanted to find out if the touring model had the same mechanical damping for driving. I there any difference in the way they feel when driving?
Love the new Accord. Looks like an Audi S7. Car is a blast in the 2.0t sport 6spd. Lots of fun and underrated power wise. With a tune these things will make close to 290/hp and over 350 ft/lb's of torque(122 ft/lb's more than the 9th gen V6). Not bad for a family sedan. The fact that you can fit normal sized human beings in the back now is nice as well.
The 2018/2019 Honda Accord Sport does come with blind spot monitoring on the 2.0t trim with either 8 Speed Manuel, or 10 Speed Automatic. But it’s a $4,500 extra charge. No videos ever say that. It also comes with touch screen.
The Sport and EX have a 180-watt system with 8 speakers. The Touring has a 450-watt system with 10 speakers. They both have the display audio touchscreen.
That was a super base model touring my 2018 touring has cooled front seats and heated seats front and back also has heated steering wheel with a sun roof
@@Back_door_bandit_98 Nice. I’m in Louisiana, and it was not mentioned as an option, but we rarely have the weather to warrant it. Except a few weeks ago when it was 16F here, which almost never happens! 😂
@@EricT3769 I was visiting family in Texas when the great freeze recently happened it was hilarious seeing all the people not used to the ice on the roads 🤣
@@Back_door_bandit_98 It hit on a Sunday night. I was lucky to be off Monday because I never could have made it to work. We were lucky compared to Texas. We had more sleet / snow than freezing rain. I never lost power, but didn’t have water for a few days.
@@whyg400man6 it stands for near-field communication. Basically if you have a nfc compatible phone you can just put your phone on the nfc logo and it’ll connect to the audio system.
Time flies this same review with the 2016 accord s which I bought now on to these in another year they will have the new models line up and this will be a thing of the pass
@Dell honda..... I don't think that's what he was asking or what he meant! Some dealer's will swap out the Sport model rims and throw them on the Touring or EX model for you. Do not all of them cuz now they have to sell a Sports model with uglier rims. Unless you pay extra and buy that rim package!
Recently bought new 2018 honda accord touring1.5 and i love the car but i was wondering why there is NO Accord sign on it? Can anyone explain it to me?
Moving the shifter into "S" make the throttle response a little better and makes the transmission operation more aggressive. Letting the RPMs go up higher and aiding in quicker acceleration/better responsiveness. The Sport button makes the dampers become firmer for flat cornering, the Electric Power Steering provides a more direct linear feel, Agile Handling Assist becomes more aggressive in the corners, throttle response is more aggressive, the transmission’s shifting is quicker, and Active Sound Control gives the Accord a sportier exhaust note.
I’m 2 years late lmaoo but it’s because the head lights are LED it’s only blinking because it’s being recorded through the camera lens, to the naked eye it’s doesn’t blink
Not sure that I will have time to make another video. Normally I would take requests like that. But I may be promoted to another position in the next few days where I will not be able to do these videos. I will see if someone else can continue making videos like these. Thank you for watching!
Dante E I agree I’ve always had Honda’s (Then I tried to be a good American) Got a Cadillac ATS Gone Through more tires & issues in 3 years then with accords in the last 20 years combine Never again
Thanks for watching. I do have a few videos on the Honda Sensing. I have not done one on the 2018 Accord yet, but most of it is the same as in the other Honda models with Sensing. Feel free to subscribe to my channel and check out the other videos.
Just leased the 1.5 Touring. Not because I liked it but, because I got a crazy good lease price. I actually thought the car was going to be better than it is. My other car is Genesis g80 let me just say these should not be compared. Genesis truly does everything better by far. The G80 is a 50k car that feels like a 70k car while my Honda accord feels like a 20k car with 15k worth of extras that are not executed as well. The Honda Touring is a 35k car it should feel more substantial. If the lease price wasnt so good I would have picked up a rear wheel drive KIA Stinger. Those start at around 32k. Simply a way better car. I have to say the accord does have pretty much everything and then some. The engine and suspension are on point and even the CVT is ok. Honda infotainment is lacking it relies on android auto and apple car play to be decent. The premium audio system is awefull, it shouldnt even be in the base model. The interior looks great but is lacking in that it doesnt feel solid, brand new and squeeks and rattles are apperant. If you get a model in the mid 20k range its probably worth it. Overall I cant say im not impressed. Before getting this car I watched many reviews and they were all great, I can't say I agree.
Correct. No lane watch camera on any 2018 Accord model. The EX models and up have the blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic monitor that replace the camera.
