What did you think? I was definitely impressed by this SUV. This Trim level is a pretty good value but if you don't want leather than the EX is fantastic value for a couple thousand less. Just driving through the parking lot, steering felt tighter and lighter than previous generation CR-V but there wasn't much power with really low speeds until the turbo kicked in...so low speed bumper to bumper would be annoying, but overall felt very smoother at slow speeds. Leave some comments! Thanks for watching!
Love this Honda crv I just bought a 2018 CRV Touring and love everything about it..Has a lot of power too :) The interior is very nice and comfortable. I don't travel but love the secure feeling of being in a SUV even for in town use and the added room it has is a bonus.. Very Classy Honda SUV
Great review. I’m new to the Honda family having just got a 2019 EX CR-V. What a little beast! Best car I’ve ever owned. The tech included in the EX trim blows my mind. Most other cars all that tech would be on the higher end trims. Best value for your buck. Great ride, great stereo...I really have no complaints. It’s handle our SD Thanksgiving storms like a champ.
Prime Autotainment I’m in Sioux Falls and we only got a couple inches, but it was more the heavy wet crap, plus lots of drizzle and sleet on top of it. Thank God for AWD! LOL. A friend went to his mom’s in Presho and they got over 13” of snow. Freeway was closed, what a mess!
I have a brand new 2108 Honda Crv and I love every bit of there is nothing I don't like . And the comment of the touch screen is not a big deal I love everything being on the screen. So you can't go wrong with the 2018 honda crv is GREAT!
That’s great, I’m glad you like it! Thanks for commenting and watching! If I was in the market for a vehicle in this class...this would probably be what I get.
I'm looking into buying one..have you driven on snowy freeways? I am looking for something safe to drive. Where I live the roads in the winter can get bad so I need something I can feel safe in.
Pay attention! There's a lot of complaints about 2017 Honda CRV. Because of more short trips , more city driving and cold weather, the gas is mixing in the oil of the new 2017 Honda CR-V. The 1.5 liter engine does not warm up sufficiently in cold weather and short trips , runs rich, and leaves un-combusted gas in the oil. This triggers engine warning lights and requires frequent oil changes. Engine performance and drivability suffer. This problem is also being reported on social media by other Honda CR-V owners who drive in colder climates. We are concerned that it is causing long term damage to the engine of the new vehicle. I caution prospective buyers to postpone the purchase of a 2017 or newer 2018 Honda CR-V with the 1.5 liter engine until Honda solves to this problem. The fifth generation CR-V is an excellent car in many respects, but this is a major problem. I cannot recommend the car, particularly to those who drive in colder climates, until a fix is found.
I love my 5th generation 2022 EX amazing ride and fuel economy got it used on 3-15-24 hard to believe had it for a week only 14,000 miles on it love it so much
Great video! I have purchased many Honda products. Last being a 2018 CR-V LX AWD. Just love this SUV!! Very happy with it. I live here in NS, Canada. Just wanted to let you know and all American's that all CRV models come with the 1.5L Turbo in Canada. They also have the upgraded stereo. Not the base stereo they offer in the US. All LX AWD models and above have the Honda Sensing Package with all options associated with it! Again, great video, keep up the good work!
Wow sounds like you got a great vehicle! Wonder why there are that many differences, but thanks for sharing! How does it do in the snow/Ice? I used to live in South Dakota and AWD was almost a must during the winter...I can imagine the same goes for you. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Yes, we can get a lot of snow here but so far this year not a whole lot of snow! The AWD feature is great in the snow. I highly recommend the AWD feature. I have a link to a guy doing a short review of the SUV here. This is my model and color. Thanks again! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DTTBw64D2ts.html
Oh, also forgot to mention LX AWD model comes with Full automatic headlights for high and low beam. Nice feature not having to play with the dimer switch all the time.
Barrie Mader awesome thank you for sharing that. Personally, I like the dark gray color on most vehicles..easy to live with and still looks good! I appreciate the comments and thanks again!
Thank you for the kind words and the advice, John. I definitely need to be better about that. I try to cover a lot without taking too terribly long but I’ll work on it!
Oh cool! Your intro thanking Honda of Rockwall and the other CR-V in the show room looks exactly like mine haha I definitely think its not my car but hey it could be haha
Very nice job on the review, very informative, and professional... keep up the good work, the CR-V is a favorite.. my decision is made easier... thanks.
I think in this class...it offers a great combination of economy/performance, space, features, ...if it were me though I’d go with the EX trim. I still think that’s a really good value if you don’t need leather
This (olive green metallic) is my favorite color, but it’s not available or shown on the Honda website as an option for a 2018 CR-V It was available on the 2017. Please verify.
I like it too. Yeah this was a standard color for this one, not an extra option. I just went to Honda’s site and it’s listed as available called “Dark Olive Metallic”. I’m in the US are you somewhere else?
What trim are you looking to get? For both 2017 and 2018 CR-Vs in the United States, the Dark Olive Metallic color has been only available on EX and up trims. Oddly enough, BMW has a Dark Olive Metallic color option for the X3 SUV.
So what was 18.9 miles per gallon showing on the display? That's not good! I just bought one and found myself getting 20.9 miles on the first 300 miles put on it. Far from advertised!
none nobody I didn’t get to drive it anywhere except on the lot and had it idling for a while so didn’t have a realistic MPG. That stinks! Hopefully it will go up with time..maybe first thousand miles or so!
We've had our EX AWD for 7 mos now and getting 37 hwy, but mid-lower 20's city. City mpgs are hard to compare since everyone has a different definition of "city". Some have long mostly empty boulevards with stop lights a mile apart and some, like me, have actual downtown gridlock and barely crawling.
Prime Autotainment. Thanks. Your review helped a lot. I got the same EX-L model last week and ended up with the Dark Olive. Loving it so far. Can't wait until Spring because up north, it's been snowing a lot and it's covered with road salt. It'll be a while until it'll be clean on the outside. So far the AWD has been great in the snow.
DAFFYDC that’s awesome and I’m super glad it helped! I know what you mean about the northern snow/winters... no clean cars till spring cleaning. Thanks for coming back to comment and enjoy your CR-V!
