Great review Shelina keep up tge great work especially the input on braking which alot of your male counterparts wouldn't/didn't admit to in order to maintain their (self believed) rider creds but you race so no embaracement in mentuoning the biggest safety improvement since helmets with IMU lean sensing controlled braking. I currently ride a Ducati MTS PP but now i m in mid sixties and find its a lot of mass 500+#s for everyday rides, I might be looking at the 701 to add to the stable. FWIW in early 70's rode a moded (chasis and engine) Z-1 but after DMV said your DL or bike plate I converted by new moded TT 500 to what today would be super motard spec 18" wheels big front brake and sticky PZ series dot race spec Michelins that could make alot of cafe racers includding RDs humble on tight roads around the Rock Store. Maybe iits time to relive my youth with a turnkey Husky 701 Vitpilen with appropriate sticky tires. Who say's senior citizens csnt have fun?

Its great having more options now for those of us who are into "naked bikes". With small mods you'll make this bike look even better than it already does.

Really great review. Just curious how tall Shelina is. I'm really interested in this bike, and as a shorter rider I'd love to know if her experience will be comparable to mine.

The video inclusion of the front controls and clip on's was appreciated (radial master cylinders, pivoting levers and high design mirrors. No other You Tube testers included a view or mentioned these items. The bikes designers have made personal statements when they choose to incorporate these premium items. Failing to show these excellent items was a significant oversight by all other You Tube presenters. Thank you for being clued in.

I would like to see a comparison between this and the KTM 790 Duke?

How much is the other one with the fancy exhaust and tail tidy in the normal place.

Thank you for mentioning the front fork preload is not adjustable, I have watched 100 + reviews on this bike and you are the first person so cover that if you want to adjust preload, you might have to purchase a second set of springs. Awesome review for a great bike

Look at 2:27 - it's not the same bike. The plate holder is not from the sub-frame. I would guess the Vitpilen 401 :)

Don't put the helmet on the tank for two reasons, you can scratch it or drop the helmet on the ground.

*HOLY chicken and biscuits* Batman. Please have more women review motorcycles. I have watched 3 other 701 reviews by well-known male reviewers. None or them told me about the shifter, anti-locks, sliders, spoke wheels, or the clip-ons. Refreshing to have a woman review!!!

Hmm I wonder why every "Moto Journalist" that was invited to this launch talks so much about that it does not matter about numbers of the bike or what kind of rider you are as it will be perfect for everybody anyway. Okey, where have you all moto journalists been all this time when it comes to the motorcycle market. You do know that the good old Ktm Duke 690 and Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 are the same bike but with new "plastics". Money money always funny in the rich mans world :P

I love everything about this vid! Especially the girl! Makes me wanna be her husband for life.....

No disrespect to the lady doing the review, but that was a pretty bad review and I'm curious why she was asked to review this bike. First of all, riding gear is about safety, not fashion. Choosing a helmet based on the "style" of bike you are riding is irresponsible and not something you'd think Cycle News would promote. She says she's a a racer, so you'd think she'd understand the importance of proper riding attire...yoga pants aren't proper riding gear, even if tucked inside your race boots...anyway. Then she goes on to talk about how her knees hook under the tank....no, they don't. The bike has rearsets and in the riding portions of the video you can clearly see her knees don't come anywhere near those "hooks". Not much of a review by way of facts here. The fact that the ABS system had to intervene when you jumped on the brakes, and the fact that she had to ask someone what had happened, seriously makes me doubt she is qualified to review a bike. Shouldn't a reviewer at least understand the basic concept of how ABS systems work, and what it feels like when they do actuate? You can do better, Cycle News. This was nothing but a fashion show...I wanted to learn about the bike.

Sorry, but this is one of the poorest reviews I’ve ever seen of a bike. Journalism quality = 2/10

In regards to this long awaited Husky I will have to repeat the quote that "Dutch"..(Arnold Schwarzenegger) told the Predator right before he got his ass beat...that being "You are one...UGLY MOTHER F***ER. Why do new motorcycles all have to be so G-D ugly these days??? My God a 1965 Honda 90 was a WAAAAY sharper motorcycle. Its the same with cars there are some out there that look like cars they use in the circus for the clowns to jump out of that I wouldn't want to be seen driving. Same with this new Husky. I dare say I would actually rather ride a Harley. No wonder Husky hired a hot girl to do the review to get guys to actually watch this video.
