Good wet weather Rugby was the order of the night and England executed it better then SA too many penalties given away by SA. SA won the series have to be happy with that!
@@11oshelbourne That is the difference between Cips and Farrell. Farrell would never have seen it as an option because he didn't have the skill set to execute it. Farrell the much better player overall of course!
Good weekend for the English - Beat the 'Boks in Union Beat the Kiwis in League Whitewashed the Aussies in One Day Cricket Ladies beat the Kiwis in One Day cricket England beat Panama and through to last 16 of World Cup Hamilton destroys the field in F1 in France
'for all the remarks about South Africa having there 'c' team. yes they did, but we had a 'c' team too almost. 20 of our key frontline players had all been injured. Jonathan Joseph, Antony Watson, George Kruis, Dylan Hartley, Sam Underhill just too name but a few. so give England some slack, why all the hate ? this is rugby not football. respect to SA, as the played a blinder in the first test England should have won. hopefully the boks will play better in the Championshop
This was the worst game of the entire series, England were playing a springbok C team and they barely crawled over the line, watching this game was like getting all your teeth pulled..very slowly.!
Oh grow up already. Ackerman believed that Elton was his "go to" guy and that is good enough for me. He is not on form at the moment and he was pretty kak yesterday but he is far better than your thinly veiled racist comment gives him credit for. How did Pollard turn the game around when he came on (clue, at that stage the score was 12-10)? How well did du Preez do against Wales when he took over from Elton? Kriel is another one who would not be allowed near any other top tier nation; he cannot even convert a 2 on 1 overlap and has never consistently excelled in the 13 jersey at international level. Gonna blame the ANC for him too? There are too many SA supporters who will always blame politics or the ref, but never accept that the team played kak (ALL OF THEM!!) and we were outplayed by a better side on the day.
Karma I am a new Zealander born and raised so go stick your perceived racism up your ass. Over here players get picked on merit and if Jantjies is good enough for super rugby, well that's nice, but springbok he is not! Reeks of another case of the 'Earl Roses'
Karma You're the only one who brings racism in this discussion: which is nowadays equivalent for the Hitler card, nothing else than an attempt to shame and smear the opposition. Let's stick to the facts here. Jantjies got two starts this test season. He was a no show in both of them (even against the 2nd selection Wales team), making poor decisions, showing poor tactical kicking and the team lost both matches. Pollard started in two tests, the team won both of them, and especially in the series clincher, Pollard was clutch. I have yet to see Jantjies being clutch in his 20+ starts for the Boks. Don't even try to draw some parallels here. Those two players are miles apart. The score was 15-10 when Pollard came on. What argument is that? The score was 42-32 in the first match when Jantjies came on. A couple of minutes later, he watched like an impassive spectator Jonny May scoring a try. What's your point, here? The subs sometimes don't manage to do anything about the game. Somehow, for you that's totally incriminating in Pollard's case, but you look the other way in Jantjies' case. As for RdP, he got what 10 minutes of a chance and dropped the ball. Sure. We both know du Preez won't be getting 25 chances to prove he can be an international fly-half, like Jantjies got. You're ready to throw du Preez under the bus for poor 10 minutes showing, while you don't mind hours of Jantjies' sub par to mediocre showing in green and gold. Hypocrisy. And if you absolutely must see it in racial lines (which I assume you do, because you brought it up), try to think of it as Jantjies being in the way of Willemse's progress, if he sticks around for too long. Well, I hope he doesn't. I hope this was the last time we saw Jantjies in green and gold, and that Willemse gets to go to Japan instead. "Ackerman believed that Elton was his "go to" guy and that is good enough for me." Yeah, I think this might be the core of the problem. You believe in what some guy said at some point in the past (because things can't change as years go, can they now), others believe in factual evidence, that's right in front of their noses. No wonder we can't find a common language. It explains why there are still Jantjies apologists out there, even though the sheer absurdity of it makes my head hurt.
Perceived racism? What did you expect me to read from the "good job ANC" other than racism? If you are a Kiwi as you say, then may I suggest you keep you fucking nose out of South African politics as a) you have no clue about it and b) it has fuck all to do with you. Don't come here mouthing off about political inclusions if you are ignorant to the facts. BTW, Earl Rose was included in a touring party but never played. He remains uncapped.
Karma what's there not to know about or understand.? The ANC has destroyed our greatest rival by making selection a matter of race over merit. I won't be communicating with you anymore as unintelligent people are tedious.
@Cuttygrass. I bet you can not wait until NZ meet the Pom in London in November can ya, hehe. I would be astonished if England beat NZ, utterly astonished. They might of course, but this would entail NZ having an awful off day and severe heavy rains falling and England grinding. That is probably the only way England could beat NZ at the moment, is down to horrific weather and the Pom just being boring and grinding the ball, boring, boring and very English.
Absolutely no doubt in my mind that England would have won all three, if they had been played at sea level. New Zealand have the haka, the springboks like to play at altitude. Both unfair advantage before the game starts in my opinion. Just saying!
I don’t buy that SA were resting players or trying out new players because they’d “already won the series”. Any coach or player, in any test series, wants to win every game. 3-0 is far more emphatic than 2-1.
England save them selves from a humiliating series defeat. "Eddie Jones: England stronger for losing series 2-1 in South Africa" -BBC sport Feeling stronger after dropping what was it like 3 places in world Rankings after two (should be walk over) games. Nice to see Cirpirani have a start. Great news to know the Bokks aren't completely useless as the set their sights for the WC and Lions tour.
cips adds another dimension. cant jones forget about predictable, weak and dull ford. such a shame cips isnt being given a chance. always will wonder what could have been?!
To be fair the pitch was like a pool. Most players would have never have made the tackle he did. Janties I think they should leave that schalk Brits to retire. He s done. All he wants is TV time and kills the game to get to the ball. His fitness is weak unfortunately that was a bad remark by the coach to say he s most likely the fittest.... Great player retire quietly you cant run the show after a few minutes back. The new Wings 🙌 these guys are the future let's back them up
We have a great team, except for a fly-half that can not kick, nor defend, nor catch. I do not know for what political reason we stick with Jantjies. Even Papier is a better fly-half. Even wondered why no scrum-half wants to pass the ball to Jantjies?
Is he really that bad? Isn't he the starting fly half who played an important role in helping the Lions get to the Super Rugby Final twice in succession?
yup, watching the highlights of penalty kicks vs tries, both teams are definitely dog tucker for the abs.... bummer really, i miss the days when it was tense!
The Clover King You saw the All Blacks execute their opportunities against France....No team can stop those tries, with or without the ref. The ABs have far too much skills
The Clover King , just like any other sport in the world the official is part of the field!! Where would you like him to stand???? He had to be able to see what's going on!! Unfortunate but at the end didn't really matter..
England win game but south africa take the series 2-1 if only england would have won test match game 1 then series would have been tie all both teams did well
They are already at it SharpShooter. The English have a lonely 1 win past a 5th odd ranked South Africa and they all of a sudden think they are the dogs bollocks again. Well they ain't. They are far from the dogs bollocks and need that arse bashing from NZ to prove this. I anticipate this lesson to be learnt to the English in November, sorry, not expect, demand it.
I know, lol, I despise the English bastards in rugby, because they were lack luster against a South African side that is only slowly beginning to get on the up again. I do not underestimate the Pom by the way, on their day, could once every 7-10 years turn the All-Blacks in a one off win past NZ. I mean can anyone realistically see this crap England side beating NZ?. The only way they could beat NZ is if the All-Blacks get complacent. Somehow I do think think that is going to happen. NZ would have to be playing like a bunch of arse holes to lose to this England side and I can assure you the All-Blacks will not be complacent and will want to go out and destroy England in November, which they can, IF they do not get complacent. I also knew that if the poms won against SA, which unfortunately they did, that they, so the Pom supporter would start to overrate their side again, start to gob it, start to think they are up their with NZ. Reality check comes to them in November I think, again. South Africa to me are a side that is better than England. SA did not perform like they did in the previous 2 tests, and if you play poorly against an even more poorly set up side, in this case, England, they you will get beaten, it is that simple. SA and Australia both on the up. NZ though just appear to be in a different league to the rest. In fact, NZ look that good at the moment and are advanced with building their 2019 RWC team, that they look like the team to win 2019 RWC unless NZ do get knocked out which could of course happen. That said, who could knock the All-Blacks out if they are not complacent?. Be honest, who can beat NZ, if NZ are not in a complacent mood?. No one, lol, period.
Michael Barnett so why you so upset that you lost the last game? You won the series, fair enough, but you forgetting that you still play like shit, and you've been shown that fact pretty clear yesterday. You can only win at high altitude, and only with such badly shaped team as ours been these days. Others wouldn't fuck up 24-3 lead.
Zaahier Stanley That is so stupid, if both teams have been staying in SA for three weeks then England are at the same level, plus this was typical English conditions to play in.
TheUltimate SharpShooter its typical cape weather... Are you smoking something? Loss is loss... England left on a high note... They sorted out some issues and thats it. Simple as that!
TheUltimate SharpShooter fortunately weather is no excuse... A loss is a loss so back to the drawing board... That is the matter of fact. How many excuses would we like to make more? If you loss you loose? Yes a series win and that's all. Its a statistics correctly put. We do have issues now going forward as England left the winning and the better team at the end of the series.
Amit that's funny cause I was thinking the same about cricket the game is so boring it's like watching paint dry..How do you go for a tea break in the middle of the game?
