Hey Subie nation! We just completed the install of the JDM Wheel Arch Moldings on our 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R Touring and we had so much interest on our Instagram channel that we decided to film our entire process and show you exactly how to install this absolutely essential kit yourself!

Great video, thanks for the step by step. I have a 2019 Outback and just placed my order for the same JDM wheel arch moldings. Our Outbacks appear to be very similar, both white in color and I have the same Thule Trail XT L cargo rack I see in the background of your garage. =). Just recently added the OEM door moldings, OEM window visors, 2" lift from ADF and 17" Motegi Racing Wheels in black satin with K02 AT Tires. The look is incredible. I'll hopefully have a video to show her off soon.

super confused, the links you left for the model numbers is the opposite now for the smy performance site? the have the 2018-19 model with number E2017AL200...

What's the difference between the JDM parts and the US market parts?

I have similar arches on my 2015 that were on when I got the car over two years ago, didn't really notice them much until seeing your video. Yours appear a little wider than mine as mine don't have the rear door pieces, some ebay searching found some similar to what I have at around $139. Don't know why these are not installed by the factory as they do make the car look better.

Thanks for the video! Are there only clips that hold the molding on, and no screws? I'm nervous about having my sheetmetal drilled...

These will be around for a long time. Depending on insurance, they will cover them. Allstate covered all my aftermarket stuff in a accident even my weather tech floor mats!

Hi! Sorry for the delayed reply. Yes they will be, but whether we’ll be able to import them into the US is a different story at that point. Since there are not even intended for sale in the US it would be next to impossible for a body shop to order and invoice them to an insurance provider.

Looks awesome. I've been wanting to do this to my 2019 Outback Premium... Plus the XX song is great. Nice choice. Any one know where to get these for my year Outback? I don't want to drill or pay a professional an outrageous amount.

Hi! SMY is SMY Performance, a retailer specializing in Japanese and JDM vehicle accessories and parts. Highly recommend them. I personally can’t recommend you go with eBay as it’s a total gamble on what you’re getting and the quality of the shipping, etc.

Great video! Thanks for sharing. One question: does this set fits a 2017 Outback? Your's is 2018... but the code of the item is the same as the one that sells for the 2015-2017 models (E2017AL200)
