The engine seems to be very silent but it's difficult to rate properly wind/road noises. Would be interesting as well to listen to the car stereo for a while just to test the cabin soundproofing

Great engine. Great car. You get a lot for your money with Suzuki, and it will be more reliable than most other brands. Tough, long lasting cars, and in the UK these are only £20k for the top spec allgrip version with the 109bhp turbo 1 litre engine, with manual transmission. I was looking towards Subaru for my next car but they are all CVT in the UK now, and although supposed to be a good gearbox, I prefer manual, and these Suzukis have more pulling power with far better fuel economy. Subaru are obsessed with incorporating totally unnecessary safety features, and although very good cars, I dont fancy the poor fuel economy, CVT, lack of dealers / running and maintenance costs. I passed my test in 1986 and I use my own eyes when im behind the wheel. I dont need a computer to tell me whats coming ! People who rely on that kind of shit shouldnt be driving, but of course Subaru are now aiming their models at school run mums who are fooled by all the marketing bollocks. The rest of us want proper cars to drive in the real world. I dont want nanny state motoring.

How do you find electric steering on the motorway? Because to me I can't steer with one hand as it is too stiff
