Nice. Contemplating doing my 99 1500 360. Nothing special. Mini tubs, fat and skinneys. 450, 500 horse. Something sticking through the hood. Not sure yet. May go sleeper. Anyway, really nice build. Looks like it was thought out. Guessing there was a spare viper laying around. Keep on keeping on brother. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for putting forth the effort in posting it.😎👍✌
This thing is awesome! As a kid I always loved the smaller sport trucks, but this blows away anything I expected to see! What trans did you use to hold all that power? I heard the ones that came with the RT weren't good for much
I recently purchased this exact truck. I've already started fixing the small stuff, valve cover gaskets and injectors new wimdow motors, ball joints, tie rod ends, etc...... I wpuld LOVE a detailed list of the parts you swapped from other Dodges so i can do something similar.
Wicked truck man!!! The quality of this build is absolutely amazing. You are very talented and should be very proud of yourself. I’m interested in how the exhaust is ran and what headers mid pipe mufflers and tailpipes you run? I like spintechs stuff but it’s a little on the pricey side and what you are running sounds good and I like the exit of your pipes
Do you have any pics of how your exhaust was routed? I believe this is the first dual dump in front of the rear tires.. usually it’s always passenger side only?
Absolutely stunning. I've owned a few R/Ts thinking about getting another one. Even when stock they are fun to drive. I'm sure you've been asked but could you supply a build list on the engine and where you got your speed parts?
@@taylorm2399 dakotas are cool, way lighter than rams,i have a 02 model with k an n system, hypertech to run only premium and maxed out timing, barks tires hard an fast so the guy before me must have put in a shift kit,am glad all r/t dakotas are posi, limited slip..id rather have a 71 dodge demon though in as good a shape as my mighty red r/t dakota....
What did you have to do to get the viper steering wheel on? I’m guessing you had to do it after the challenger center console because it wouldn’t hold the column shifter.
Amazing work. I have almost the same truck, and I wish I thought of the Viper interior myself. Only thing I would suggest is the sniper kit. I have that on mine with the side exhaust with an Andy's front bumper. It really gives an amazing aggressive look in my opinion. At the same time I did this to mine well over a decade ago, and wasn't thinking about keeping too much original then haha. Heres a link to the kits. Mine sounded like that but then I replaced my O2 sensor 2/2, 8 plugs, new air filter and sprayed out carb and added fuel injector cleaner. Now it’s quiet again. 😂 that’s a evil machine bud
531hp is awesome! I'd love to know how much its making at the tires especially after listening to Gale Banks on the latest Smoking Tire Podcast talk about how drive train loss on a chassis dyno is not a set percentage that increases loss as power is increased. Meaning a 50whp loss on a 250hp vehicle doesn't become a 100whp loss if you increase the power to 500hp.
