Polo never be known for milege.Its known for build quality , driveability,ride quality , handling and safety which is far better than any car in its segment,even some upper segment car.Those who seeking for milege,never go for it,better to go with maruti.But who are driving enthusiast,those only consider polo for above said quality.For polo,India is manufacturing hub and export it .I have a polo 1.2 lt petrol and since I loved to drive & usually drive in a decent manner,I got easily 12 to 13 kmpl in city easily , sometime 14 to 15 also in less traffic and in highway I got 16 to 17 kmpl which is a good figure.I loved to drive it.even I drive it straight more than 200 km so many times although I am not driving from long periods .It attract you to drive more and more and more rather than maruti,hyundai or tata which need a regular break at regular intervals until and unless you are professional driver.And how to make a superior car in terms of quality,german know better than anyone else. Most important thing,if you own the VW,you looks standalone in crowd.People in India actually are followers who choose product by others preferences and choices rather than qualities.

I have driven this car today. I was skeptical about the engine. But 1.0 mpi engine is surprisingly very responsive. low end torque is good. going uphill fully loaded is easy(I have driven with 3 adults onboard). I liked the engine performance. Though I have tested the full speed, I felt it would easily pull up to speeds of about 120kmph even with full load. No engine noise at all..even at higher RPM's its a sweet note.

A. You didnt mention auto wipers B. The armrest can go further down one notch which will help in shiftimg gears. Arm rest ka 3 locks hai. C. Polo 1.2 gives 17 consistent in highways between 80 and 100 ..so hopefully this 1.0 can achieve 18 Good review

World best 1.0 safety and strong body car polo

Recently purchased Polo 1.0 Highline and surprisingly it is giving me around 21 kmpl with A/C on highway. Pickup is not so good than the previous version but better than the other car of this segment. Overall build quality is awesome !!!

After buying a vento I was in doubt for about a year as I made a mistake instead of buying a Japanese car. But after a year I got a chance to ride honda city for about 40 kilometres and thereafter I realised my decision was right. And also i decided never to buy the Japanese Korean toys. Japanese and Korean cars cannot give u so much of safety, which u can feel in Volkswagen, its a class above the honda Toyota and many other. Moreover Japanese cars looks so ugly, Volkswagen looks as beautiful as a Taj Mahal, which can never goes out of date My suggestion to others don't become fools, if u feel Volkswagen is expensive then I will suggest u to buy a used vento instead of swift i20 honda Toyota, which will be more cost cheaper then Japanese and Korean cars.

Polo is one of the best car. :)

Brand wise i would still choose VW Polo. It is built for Power and Safety. People are not comparing apple to apple. With higher price you are not only getting simple car. you are getting a brand, Best safety , better performance, features, etc. It is built for mileage because the world is slowly moving towards electric. Maybe we will see Electric Polo soon.

Bhai meri 25000 chali hai.. mai Baba Baijnath Himachal tak gya hun isme.. no single issue in power.. with AC gaye the 3 member last year in may.. and highway par 150 km per hour ki speed par chalayi hai.. ultimate experience of soft control.... Har trah se best in class.....

Rear AC and hand rests coming in 1l and not in bigger polo, if I'm not wrong? VW would have avoided that to cut the price more for the 1L variant.

Yes but my friend is selling his used car driven only 8920 kms... Since you said that the torque is better in 1.2 im thinking y not but hes asking 6.40lakhs... I can get the comfortline of new 1.0 liter for that amount.. Just would like to know which one would give a better ride and handling...

My 2 friends do have polo 1.2 petrol in which one is in pune and another one is in chandigarh. Both cars are giving mileage of around 14 kmpl in AC on in city and 19 to 20 with 75% times AC on in highways so if mileage is concerned then this 1.0 may give more than what I said.

Hi Sir, Sir I am planning to Buy VW polo Mpi trendline petrol 1.0 ltr varient,I am from Hyderabad this varient has onroad price around 7 lakhs,I contacted some of the VW dealers they are giving price discounts around 70k to 80k rupees on onroad price,I am getting it in 6.2 lakh only,sir I am very much confused that is this varient is under power, this is will be my first family car,I drive below 500 kms in a month most of my driving will be in city and sometimes in highway,my height is 5 feet 9 inch ,I drive with family of 2 elder members,please help in picking right choice.

I own polo 1 litre petrol. In highways, mileage is showing upto 18km/litre, but in city, it is showing only 8 to 9 km/litre. With full load, car is struggling to pick up while AC is on.

Somehow I did not like this video review. It look like you know everything, but you did not precisely explain it. You do so it in other reviews. I think you had very limited time to soend with rhe car. But then you could have just spoken yourself standing with a picture in background. I still have questions in mind. 1) Polo 1.2 was a heavy car by its class. Is it reduced by smaller engine? If yes how much? 2) How is th driveability of the car in all gears, specifically in higher gears. Lower gears always give you sufficient pep. That is why the gear system. 3) How is engine in terms of NVH, engine pull, throttle response, low end, mid range, top end, in gear accelerations etc. Not just compared to Old 1.2 but with competition too. 4) What is company provided 0-100 time? 5) How is car on the highway. Smaller capacity engine should make noticable difference on highway performance. I would think it could impact fuel economy too because of engine strain. 6) I presume ride and handling remains intact. Please confirm. 7) I strongly feel this car should be compared to Tiago rather than i20 and Baleno.

If vw gives 1.0 turbocharged produces 115ps(113.5bhp) and 200nm as VW gives in international markets It would be a great deal also this 1.0 turbo gives only 8 10 kmpl when harsh on accelerator and 13 14 on highway

8:50 - Clutch is light like previous model! WHAT? Polo Clutch is the hardest in the segment. HARDEST. Add that to the poor Petrol engine. The worst in its segment. Never go for a POLO again.

i will suggest for Hyundai I20 Active SX model in this segment. because its come with 6 airbag/smooth engine/brand trust and so many top class features
