2018 Yamaha Sidewinder Oil Change, Drive Bearing & Chaincase Service

Our buddy D-Ron went out and got himself a 2018 sidewinder as a bit of an upgrade. he has no idea what the history of this sled is so we go over it a bit and change the engine oil and the chaincase oil too. this sled is a factory 2 up and which makes it the Heavy Honey Hauler! he's taking off to Quebec with some buddy's to get some miles down so let's Pitter Patter and Get Atter! thanks to ‪@UltimaxBelts‬ for the support and hooking us up with a new belt for this rig! and we really appreciate all the support and subscribers to our channel! don't forget to check out our website www.rednecks-dirtyhands.com I hope ya's enjoy the video and cheers 🍻

DO NOT I Repeat DO NOT under any circumstances and I cannot emphasize this enough NEVER EVER……EVER…..even think think about leaving the trail with this sled. 😂. Now back to praying for snow. All the best in 2024

I m a licensed mechanic since the early 90's ( automotive) I work on all my toys. Your vids are not just entertaining but filled with common sense ways to work on toys and vehicles. Keep it up mr....i learn a little bit from each video even into my mid 50's 😁

New subscriber here all the way from the great State of Maine. The misses & I have a pair of 2017 Vipers and have been Yami fans since the mid 90's V-max. I've learned a ton of maintenance techniques (tips & tricks) from the great guys over on the Totally Yamaha forum website but having your videos as a reference and step by step are priceless. My only issue now is my Maine accent is turning full blown "Letter-kenney" and my American lagers are turning to cold Molsen's & Labatt's. I can't believe the weather this year in Ontario Went for a Christmas ride and we were flinging mud instead of snow The lakes even the Bay doesn't have a bit of ice yet Usually we're fishing already. Come on Pete do the snow dance.

Wow that sled is a Beast. Not going to toss that back sled in the back of pickup like we once did with the 340's in the 80's.. Awesome watching you and Christina working together. If you do an Apex oil change video, install a filter relocation kit. It makes oil changes reasonable, as does pumping the tank dry first. Keep 'em coming!

Got a new Olde 18 LTX DX turned up to TD 290, 18 piss em pounds and runs like a wet dream. D RON will be just fine, right mods and fresh fluid she'll be tight. Good on the boys cause Lake Simcoe is a wave pool so far this new year . Cheers to RNDY, always a pleasure

thats essentially a pantera with a 998 engine. The pantera utilizes a different tunnel config than the regular procross, it's one reason the running boards looks so different. Additionally with that second tank is the first one it drains from. but yeah with that seat its the catillac on the snow.

good day! I'm still working on getting setup to sell the belts but I'll be ready to go soon! you can go to www.Ultimaxbelts.com to find the belt number and a dealer close to ya if ya need one right away though. for the radar gun, we've been using a Bushnell gun but a buddy of ours has one that's better quality...I can't remember the name of it though lol. we also use a dragy GPS for accurate quarter mile speeds and times and nobody has to hold the gun for ya! cheers 🍻

Hey Pete I’m a huge fan buddy an my pops has a 2001 yamama vmax 500 deluxe an it’s all been re done cuz it blew up on the ice after jus buying it point being it got a brand new lower unit on the Motor? Lol I don’t know anything about them not much lol thr pistons blew so idk but it’s not runnin on both cylinders I think it’s boggy still an they said they did 1800$ worth of work to it

What's your engine oil recommendation for a new Ski-Doo 900 Ace? The OEM XPS, AmSoil? I see you're flying the Amsoil flag, but I'm guessing either/or is fine. Eh?

yeah there are a ton of good quality oils these days! I mean for any kind of warranty issues maybe stick with the OE oils but after the warranty is up use what ya like. I stick to the yamalube for my sleds 🍻
