Glad it helped someone. I get a new truck every two years so might as well take it apart, and if I break something there is always superglue to fix it.

Mark Kiedrowski definitely worth it. I love my system now. It’s clean and crisp and didn’t cost hardly anything

J.A Lorenzo they sound amazing compared to stock. I replaced all of the factory speakers and added a RF sub with a 1000 watt mono amp and it really sounds like I spent 3-4 grand on it. I spent $400 on everything.

Ryan, how did you wire everything for the Amp? I’ve heard there are some easy ways, Or did you still have to get access to the back of the stock head unit?

Jason Calle I just tied in to the speakers the wires run under the kick plate and ran a remote wire in to the fuse panel. I would not have done it if I had to go that far. I can’t remember what they are called but they just tie into the speaker wires and have audio outputs. Called a thingamajig converter. Lol

Glad it helped. I rolled and totaled mine at 10k miles. But none of the windows broke, which kept me in the truck. If you have the same one they are safe in a rollover. I bought a 2021 and it was a nightmare with problems. Sold it back to the dealer for 5 k more than I paid for it and went and bought. A restored 1984 Silverado stick shift 4X4.

Focal highs and miss with a 10 inch sub Rockford fosgate wired to 1 ohm on 1100.1 can’t remember brand of amp

I rolled this truck the day Covid started. I was in the hospital for a while my wife took everything out of it except the system. If you wire it to one ohm, make sure you turn your aunt down and have a ported box. It will rock your truck like it’s got 415s in it, but it will blow the crap out of your speaker if you get it too loud.

I went with Memphis if I remember correctly. I bought my whole system including door speakers front and back Rockford Fosgate. My amp actually come to think of it was of amazon 1000 watt mono Boss and a RF Shallow Sub. The 2019 and up can fit a full size sub but the shallow sub hit so much harder when I put it in a ported box. I bought the rhino lined box off amazon also. I think it was under $100. Compared to factory you would have thought I spent over $1k on everything but really I think I spent in total w amp maybe $400ish. If I had the money I would put Focal speakers all the way around. But I lease so not going to put that kind of money and time in to it. Plus with what I have it’s crisp and clean but can still knock pictures off of the wall.

zach belly I live in BFE NH there aren’t any sound shops near me or I would happily buy local. I’m all about supporting small local company’s.

Well I totaled the truck a couple of weeks ago but if I remember correctly they mounted perfectly.

Nonc_ Ched I went with Rockford fosgates on the four door speakers and the sub and Memphis on the dash. I went to crutchfield and Memphis was the only ones that were a direct replacement. Everything sounds awesome, if I wasn’t leasing I would have spent a little more and went with focal speakers all the way around. But for the money my truck sounds amazing.

@@ryanalan2072 thanks for the reply. I just bought a 2020 Sierra, I kept my last one 12 years and 190,000 miles. I want to replace the speakers in this one, what didnyou put in the doors, it says they accept 6x9s. You think that head unit can power 6x9s?

Nonc_ Ched I would think so. It might not give the speakers all of their potential but wouldn’t think they would distort unless you are using some high dollar ones. In that case put a small amp on them. I would go the cheap way and buy the little marine amps. You get a lot of bang for your buck out of those little things I have them in my boat and they sound amazing.

I replaced door speakers with Rockford Fosgate Prime 6x9s, head unit powers them fine and sounds way better. Looking to upgrade dash speakers though.

Well I didn’t want to say any name brands because RU-vid would probably start spamming the video. I used all Focal speakers about $1200 but just depends on how much you want to spend Walmart pioneers would sound better than stock.

Totally agree! But, I think it’s worth changing the Bose out too. You can make it sound so much better pretty cheap just using the Bose amps.

From what I’ve discovered you can make anything fit! But with that being said I don’t know if you want to go cutting up your new truck. I also have a a bmw 535i that has 3inch speakers everywhere, but I found 6.5” Focal speakers dirt cheap they didn’t want to fit but with a little cutting and a lot of determination they fit and sound incredible.

I did mine without removing the dash/glove box.

I totaled my 2019 and now I am doing the same thing to my 2021 Silverado. Trying to find the best remote to tie in too. Have fun. I have to start from scratch they wouldn’t let me remove my component speakers. I think I’m gonna go with focal speakers all around this time.

William Crosby I think so I have since totaled the truck so I can’t go look but I looked on Crutchfield and they tell you if you put your vehicle info in. I bought the Memphis ones.

They make them so cheap. I broke one on my 2021 Silverado yesterday.

That sounds boring. I’m 45 and I think I’ll always love clean crisp music. And I will probably never become mature. Cheers mate.
