A video tutorial on how to start a 2019 - 2023 Ford Ranger with a remote key fob that has a dead battery or is showing the error message " No Key Detected".

If your remote key fob has a dead battery or is broken , you will see an error message of "No key detected" when you attempt to start your Ford Ranger. The solution to this problem is to place the remote key fob in the cupholder. The rear cupholder between the driver and front passenger seats is the one that will need to be used. Once the remote key fob is placed in the correct cupholder, you can start your Ford Ranger as you normally would.

Excellent video, I had dropped my fob and for some reason it would no longer start or open/close the vehicle. Following your very straightforward instructions it is now back working as normal, you're a legend, thank you!

Hi my 2020 Wildtrack has start issues. When I try to start a lot of messages come up, collision, driver assist , all this features are not available etc and there is no start. It just makes a clicking sound. I keep repeating the start process and same thing happens. Then all of a sudden every works fine and it starts. So far the ford dealership has not not been able to solve the issue. One day the car work fine the next I’m unable to start it. Several weeks have passed. No luck. Any ideas. Ford can’t solve this one yet.

My problem to my ranger is NO KEY DETECTED WON'T START DAMAGE HIS REMOTE CONTROL, I TRY TO MAKE YOUR IDEA BUT IS NOT WORKING CAUSE NO CURRENT I PUT THE REMOTE TO BOTTLE COMPARTMENT BOX BESIDE ME , WHAT IS REAL PROBABLY MAKE GARAGE TO START MY ENGINE OF MY FORD RANGER 2019 I NEED our answer

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking but sounds like you're key may be damaged and you need a new one
