I love seeing functional rear fogs available in the USA. Seems like a very quiet vehicle. Im surprised to find no rear USB ports, or power source for third row riders. But then, Im a CX-9 owner so I am spoiled like that. I’m a fan of the V8 Q7, and like the older six’s Porsche-like sound, when you lay into the throttle. TBH this v6 sounds like my mom’s Pontiac 6000 STE. Dont laugh too much. It was a nice car that went over 200k miles. The Q7 seems like it short-shifts to save fuel. I find the post redesign Q7 to be more of a wagon than an SUV. Still like it. Great review. Is the engine still mounted longitudinally, or have they switched to a transverse layout?

Great review! I have the 2017 Premium Plus. Weird that screen doesn't retract into the dash anymore when you turn screen off. 👎🏾 Also, on the rear console mine has the 12v outlets covered behind a soft close panel. Looks more finished on mine. 👍🏽 Still loving mine though. ☺️

I'm on the verge of purchasing a 2019 Q7 premium plus but my wife likes the 2019 BMW X5. I think, overall, the Q7 is better; great driving and better than the X5 for the passengers. I'm just wondering if I should opt for air suspension which, I think, is only available with the Prestige model so that really bumps up the price. Just wondering how you still like the comfort of the standard suspension. Thanks in advance.

@@mitchellwise4579 we just purchased a 2019 Q7 Prestige. I test drove an X5 and X7. The 7 did not handle well and the 5 is fine for a 5 seater. Our choice came down between the XC90 T8 and the Audi. For the money, the Audi provided more for the money. If you don't need 7 seats, consider the Q5

Liked your review overall but you really need to get up to highway speed somewhere to give a better idea of the power and handling. Also how much wind noise and road noise.

I have driven them on the highway. I would say it's very quiet inside, quite impressive actually. the power is good enough for passing and getting up to speed for a 5000 pounder ( V6 version ). The handling is great, not much body roll at all compared to other suvs that feel like a boat when turning. funny thing is when you are driving this Q7 it doesn't feel like a big SUV.

@@MrSharkster59 Those screens on the Audi are only high enough to be just below the bottom edge of the windshield, so they would never obstruct your road view. I have the new Q5 with the upgraded large screen which doesn't even fold down and I don't even notice it most of the time.

3rd row seating is horrible. They minus well not even have it. For good usage out of a third row I will be looking at a Mercedes GLS 450 or 550.....Their 3rd row seating has much more room

I bought a 2017 Q7 The front windshield wipers don't work in the cold because the front defroster isn't strong enough to defrost the window So the windshield wipers stick as you drive and you have to keep pulling over because you can't see with all the ice that builds up on the window So all wheel drive or 0 to 60 in whatever doesn't matter if you can't see The lane assist thinks snow ruts in the road are the lines in the road and pulls you into oncoming traffic The GPS Works 50% of the time most of time driving you in circles when you really need it You can't turn off the air conditioning another design flaw The car always asks you to re-authenticate the cell phone you've had since you bought the car so you have to go through the setup process every time you enter to the car all these car reviews are done when the conditions are perfect so of course they look like great cars but once you buy the Audi I guarantee you you'll regret it I have a Mercedes E550 and the windshield wipers work perfectly along with everything else very easy to use different animal the Audi

AudI makes the some of the best looking vehicles but they use too much plastic in the interior of their vehicles for the price. But I understand they are more technologically focused than true luxury. In the future if they use plastic hopefully the decide on soft touch instead of hard.

Depends on what options you get. Lux package you can get full leather dash, side door panels and higher quality leather seats as well.
