Another great review video with some nice ride along and show and tell action thrown in to kick it up a notch! That bike looks so nice! All the goodies. What's the rear end compliance feel like? Banshee claim their design helps dampen some of the normal hardtail harshness.
David Spencer feels like theres no suspension at the back haha. When you’re plowing it definitely feels well demped within the frame. Hard to say for now, I’ll have a think about it after a few good rides. It feels robust, super stiff and responsive, but doesn’t really ping off of things so I guess the frame is doing its thing
OAKLEY FISHING AND HUNTING TV that trail is trotters hump at Cobblers Creek. Its on the north side of the park closest to the road. Rad spot for a thrash on the hardtail
@@mtbtelly5522 Shows up as Super D on Strava and Trail Forks. I thought Trotters Hump was the short section leading into and out of the jumps. Heaps of fun whatever you call it though!
when you're pedaling, you're wiggling your bars a whole lot left to right. Ridiculously so. Is this a consequence of these longer reach, modern, trail bikes? I feel the laid back position and the fact that the front wheel isn't weighted at all contributes to this. I don't really do it so much on my xc bike. Might this be why or nothing to do with it?
Nah thats just how I sprint. The bars are countering my pedalling force so I get max power to the ground. I wouldnt do it from a seated position but when standing this is pretty standard for me
@@mtbtelly5522 ah you were standing, got it. I'm asking because I want a new bike and I really don't know how "modern" should I go, in terms of geometry. Can't really test out beforehand any of the bikes I'm after. Thinking to play it safe with something "downcountry". On the other hand, thinking about this Banshee as well.
@@mtbtelly5522 now with the geo, did you go smaller then what they recommend?.. I'm 5'8" and fall under medium..I've ridden bikes of all sizes ,but main bike is a small 16in ... Should I go with a medium frame I'm def doing a mullet setup
Bizno Booyo yep the Medium will be perfect for you. I rode the large, I’m 175cm and its as long as I could’ve gone while still having full control. If you want the medium to feel nice and long, get a standard 51mm offset fork
@@mtbtelly5522 I realized theirs no small frame anyways lol I'm gonna try some spank vibrocore cut down to 740-760 range...but still may like my 32ish degrees backswept bars for wverythjnf
