I’ve been testing the new Banshee Paradox V3 in a full 29er setup the past week. Today I converted it to a mullet with the 27.5 wheel at the back, and its much more fun to descend on. Check it out!
Intriguing. Do you think it's the smaller rear wheel that makes a difference? Or the fact that it makes the angles slightly slacker/gives the feeling of a more tucked rear end?
Bruce Banner i think the change in angle plays a small part in the handling, but only subtle. But the difference in the amount of impact my legs have to take is quite a bit. It feels like I have to do a lot more to counteract the hits and hold on to the bike with the bigger wheel vs the smaller wheel. My simplest description would be the bike is much easier to ride with the smaller wheel out back. Full 29 is more speed and momentum and less control, 27.5-29 is less speed and momentum but more control. Over all I can ride the bike much faster down technical or rough terrain with the smaller rear than the 29. 29 on the front on the other hand seems like it has no drawbacks compared to a 27.5. Holds a line really well, brakes really well, and holds speed really well
ross_ rusher02 definitely not sped up. Might have been glitchy straight after upload but should be good now. Generally seems the first 20 minutes after upload the qualitys a bit dodgy
