@@mrbubetube No, but some guys prefer mid-step or high-step for aesthetic reasons. Way back in the day, the high-step models were considered to be guys bikes, and step-thru models were considered for girls. Over time, more companies started offering step-thru and mid-step because they're easier to mount and ride... especially if you've got a rear rack attached or you have hip and knee sensitivity. The materials have gotten to the point where they can be strong but also very approachable. That's my take at least ;)
