I have a 2019 canam commander 1000r as well I absolutely love it and I have zero complaints on it as well my opinion they do the job and go anywhere for riding i they climb hills well and so yea that’s all I got to say I hope u keep on enjoying it and becareful and be safe and I’ll do the same thing I love to ride as well I’m sure am a canam fan for sure they are just great side by sides for sure 🙂
Have the exact machine, love it. Only issues I've had was front a-arm bushings, made the switch to garage products. Also, tie rods are very weak so replaced them with super ATV heavy dutys.
These are great rigs. I have 1500 miles on a 19 1000 limmited. Those tires will make you mental with flats, i did 28x10 carnivores all the way around and eliminated the flat tire issue. Also the tie rod shafts are super weak from factory, super atv makes a in unbendable upgrade for 150$. Behond that the commanders are practily flawless, they have been updating them since they came out in 2011.

I have the XT , It is the options that are the difference, when I got mine there was no way you could equip a base (R) for anyway near the difference in price for the XT. some options are : Tire and alum wheels upgrade , digital dash and sport steering wheel , fender flares , box rails , 4000 lb winch with dash or extention controls , front bumper .
The doors are $900 Canadian and are made of aluminum. They have held up amazing through this past riding season. The Canam is quality built, just dated as opposed to Polaris, Canam doesn’t do a redesign every 5 quarters on every machine.
The general is a new machine and has lots of new tech, the commander is an old dated design with inherent flaws that never got addressed by BRP. It all depends what you plan on doing with the machine. Price point also plays a role too because a commander is significantly cheaper than a General
This is funny Polaris are so much better engine quality than Can Am by far. I own a 2015 Polaris RZR 1000 fox edition and in. Five years never got a single problem 5600 miles on it and last week I took it to get the clutch replaced. And I just bought another awesome toy 2019 Polaris RZR RS1 1000cc is a blast. I don’t even take my 2015 Rzr 1000 anymore. I heard wild cat is a junk. Too like Can am
