Thank goodness the LX CRV comes with the port injected 2.4 liter naturally aspirated engine instead of the turbocharged direct-injected 1.5 Turbo engine.

great video, I like the fact that this crv comes with the 2.4 litre engine like my 2016 accord sport. great engine, no turbo!! you do a great job laura. keep up the great work. one question. how do you make the running lights do that blinking while you do the presentation. ive seen that on many videos. love to know the answer. you go girl now get us some warm weather please. Hey Larry ; I agree with you on the 2.4L engine, its a really great engine! The flashing leds happen due to a high frame rate in the camera settings. Its not visible like that to the human eye. - Laura

the Lx trim is the best choice, since all other trims come with the trouble prone 1.5 turbo engine which leaks gas into the oil.

Do these engines have the dilution issue as the other 2016 1.5ltr + engines? I know they haven't had a fix for the oil dilution yet.

Thank you so much for doing the LX base model of the CRV. Does the LX model with the 2.4L have the oil dilution issue like the turbo models do? I've been seeing cases like those based on research I've done on consumer reviews. Also what's the road noise and audio system like in this base LX model? Does it handle well in the winter/snow/ice? How does the AWD system work?

I love the fog lights and sunroof that you find on the higher trims. And body colored trim, handles and mirrors with integrated turn signals. But those turbo engines are a deal breaker. The new generation is either turbo or hybrid. No thank you, Honda.

@@tails300 according to Honda the 2.4 litre is direct injection. But from reading everywhere else it's still has potential fuel in crankcase problems but not as bad as the 1 5 litre turbo.. I hope your right tho about the 2.4 litre as I just bought one yesterday

@@Str8Rippin93 The 2.4 does not have that issue. Turbos run under higher pressure and that’s why the 1.5 leaks. It’s a design flaw and Honda won’t admit it. You have a proven engine that’s been around a long time. You never heard of dilution problems till the 1.5 came out. You’re safe and fortunate. Enjoy.

With a 1.5 liter, the turbo is constantly engaging, especially when AC is on or in hilly terrain, per Honda tech. Car is to heavy for a 1.5 liter engine

Hey thejose! Unfortunately Honda Sensing isn't available on the LX trim level for the CR-V. You would have to jump to the EX trim and you will get the Honda Sensing along with the Apple Carplay! - Laura

Same here. My mom got a 2018 crv a few months ago and it seems like Honda is not reliable anymore. Her model was recalled and the oil started leaking not long after she purchased it. I will definitely get a RAV4 when it is time to buy my first vehicle.

It's available if you upgrade to an EX. But to be fair, because of the electronics involved, a traditional turn-to-start key is more reliable.

We bought one today for my husband. I'm just disappointed with the interior design. My old accord sports interior is far better and nicer and looks more luxurious specially the camera and screen. The rear camera on this car sucks! and the screen so small! It should be nice too eventhough it's just a base model coz it's also expensive ... my daughter's 2017 civic is even nicer looking!!!

Joseph G. Hotto there’ll probably be a mid-cycle refresh by this time next year. I still think the crv is better than the rav 4 tho... something about the way all Toyota’s drive is especially evident on the new rav 4 that just makes it boring. The crv is peppy and fun to drive which is rare for such a mainstream suv.
