I think I'm going to have to make the 17 hour drive to Thunderbird. I like that track! I'm guessing it's a rule that the drivers can not install brakes in the car?
@@wisconsindirtvision674 I've been going to dirt track races since I was 6 weeks old and I'm 56 years old now, I'm well aware that good drivers know how to stop and or maneuver on dirt/ clay.... I'm not complaining.... I love it when people wreck. Drivers in the middle part of the US don't even like to put a scratch on the car. I normally have to drive 11 hours to see any action!
@@RacingOnDirtMichigan Thank you. My first visit to Santa Maria Speedway in April of '76 they ran convertible LM of '60-70's !! Best part of that for a 12yr old...... hot dam we had moved into a ranch house 600yds from track. Valhalla for my brothers and I. ( we were let in at no charge by owner Doug Fort as a trade off for the noise pollution) Still go many times a year to mostly sprint car shows but, nothing matches those years at the track as a kid. Again thanks. Gonna see what I can find on this cat and maybe I can tell him "he'll-yea for his LM". ✌🏄🏁🏆
@@fivecitydirttracker4776 hey check out Santa maria when there's speedway motorcycles there. I race speedway and want more people to know about the sport. There are other tracks near such as Costa Mesa or Perris Racway if you want to check it out.
@@aidanmcnutt994 We've not made any of those shows yet. They've been on the schedule yet, we've not made any. Have been to speedway shows and there great. Been some years tho. The last promoter was moving in a very positive way as to have national events, to the extent of creating a bike specific track on inside of clay track. We are pretty big fans of the sprint cars and even tho I'm in Oceano we travel to several sprint events and make some of SM's sprint shows. Bikes I believe are on 2020 schedule ? Let me know which show might be the best to attend and I'll put it on calender barring no sprint show out of town. ✌ Thanks 🚲 🏆🏁
I feel like it be nice if we could get some footage from tracks in Minnesota. As the only way people hear about it is if they're fans of Wissota or have seen the vidoes for the Fall Classic at Viking Speedway, Alexandria,MN. And maybe seen some vids for the Wissota 100
I've wrecks worst than these. Except the big Street stock pile up. That doesn't beat seeing my dad get thrown in the air in corner 1, flip six times, then coming to a rest with only the decking and cage around him. Yes this is real. Yes it's on RU-vid. Look for Chris Winter roll over 2007.
