It'd priced right man, if u looking at the features and power, teh other segments and brands will cost u 60k plus for same features and MAYBE A FEW HP MORE. which I'm gladly to pay 40, 50k for this one...
Great video my friend. When will it hit the uk looks awesome. Hopefully they do a manual, not sure about the dial shifter. Love the ST sound. Thanks for the review Brian keep up the good work and thanks for sharing mate.
Great informative video! I’ll second the opinion that having a knowledgeable mechanic reviewing vehicles is a great advantage! Is it possible to get some 0-60 mph times & braking distances? Maybe a side job of being a vehicle buyer’s guide is in your future, Lol! As always, a great review video. My wife is wanting to replace her Escape for a new one but I do like the Edge just not for 50K, Lol! I would like to see some Powerstroke/Superduty truck reviews. Just cuz I’m a truck guy. Thanks again for all you do making your videos!
Good review, I have the blue one with 20" rims, But the only thing that I would say, is be more courteous of trucks , you went past two of them without trying to change lanes
Hey nice review. I have a question that i don't think i've seen anyone refer to. Is there a way to turn off the engine sound through the speakers? Also, does the engine sound cancel out if you are listening to music when the car is in sport mode?
What is the trailer towing capacity with the 2.7 motor? I have the naturally aspirated 3.5L and I can tow 3,000-3,500 lbs. I am looking at the ST and won't buy it if it's like I've found other places of a 2,000-2,500 lb. towing capacity.
Hey PiPs, Top-Notch content especially comparing the older model to the 2019 ST version. A couple of pertinent questions for you fella' ? I noticed Ford has decided to go with the 3 Star rated Hankook tires. instead of the much more performance oriented Pirelli "Scorpions" that they previously mounted on their high end packages (ie; Platinum, ST, Titanium) Was going with the lower rated tire purely to cut costs ?!? Secondly, what is TOWING capacity of this Edge ST equipped with the 401-A package ?!? As Always, Your Attention To Detail Is Admirable Yo !!!
Thanks again John, The 21" wheels comes the with higher end Continental tires but I am sure they go with whomever gives them the best deal at the time. The Scorpions always seemed to wear unevenly. The towing capacity is 3,500 LBS max.
With Ford Motor Co with their culmination production of the Fusion and Taurus, I'm guessing these edge models take over the police interceptor in the future. Do you know if Ford continue making the Taurus sedan app for law enforcement use beyond 2019 & 20?
@@whitelightnings1978 i guess we should let all the automotive journalists and aftermarket manufacturers know that they have been referring to the 'post' and not the 'pillar'. www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=a-pillar+gauge+pod&tag=googhydr-20&index=automotive&hvadid=254856698386&hvpos=1t1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=11605904671330506802&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9023531&hvtargid=kwd-387360571668&ref=pd_sl_91pabvlzqz_e
PIPSBURGH VIEWS yeah that’s what I used to think of I never knew that you can order a vehicle from the dealership I thought you could just go buy what they have
Looks good but not worth 50K... The ST logo is just logo's they didn't really make this what you would think for a ST badge... 365hp 425ft-tq would have raised the bar. 1/4 mile time for this is slower than the 2015 Edge Sport. Paddle shifters are worthless from my test drive way to slow shifting. Exhaust 100% pumped in, ford has great exhaust sounds with the mustangs and GT350 why they didn't put an exhaust on this or at least have Ford Performance offer one from the dealer. Our local dealer has 2 2018 sports new on the lot they are giving away ( 38K) and I feel this will be no different come Nov 2019 dealers will slash prices to move them. Good Review but only 335hp not 350..
We did sell two but this one is still on the lot and we got two more in Thursday. Unfortunately, even with and exhaust the ecoboost will never sound as cool as a V8.
This is a nice vehicle,I like it. Ford overpriced it. 5 grand more and you could get a BMW X3 with a single turbo on their awesome inline 6 engine, (335 hp) and X Drive.
50k? 🤣, give me an SQ5 to blow that thing away in every aspect, fit and finish, value, engine, and so much more. I drive a Focus ST so I’m no hater. Good luck Ford with your new Sport.
I agree that the Audi is a nicer vehicle but not sure we are comparing apples to apples. The base price of the Audi is a full $10,000 more then the base ST and the cost of ownership would be at least double. I appreciate your input and thanks for checking out my channel.
PIPSBURGH VIEWS I’ve already priced an SQ5 with virtual cockpit for $51,500. I’m not quite sure where you get twice the cost of ownership from. Most Edge ST’s I’ve seen haven’t been below $48k.
I was referring to the base prices as listed on both manufactures sites. As far as cost of ownership, I was referring to the cost of maintenance and up keep over the life of the vehicles.
