My review of the 2019 Ford Edge ST! Technically, you can get a Porsche Macan and a 2019 Ford Edge ST for around $50k. This video includes a very cool demo of Ford's Co-Pilot 360 technology, which is Ford's version of a self-driving "autopilot" system.

Philo Sopher Yes! You can usually finance a Ford for 0% interest too if you have a good credit score. I’m about to trade in my 2016 Fusion 2.0 L for a 2020 Edge ST and am super stoked. I test drove one on Saturday and absolutely loved it.

I just bought a 2024 ST with the 401A package and the Performance Brake and Tire package. What an amazing vehicle. The Pirelli P Zeros stick like glue. An awesome performance SUV for sure.

@@3joewj Joe, from what I have seen, if you don't get the performance Brake and Tire package, you won't get the full benefit of the vehicle. Minimal body roll, cornering is awesome. There is a really cool RU-vid video titled- 2019 Ford Edge ST: Top 10 Things You Need To Know. A lot of good tech specs. Check it out. In answer to your question. It handles like a sports car in suv clothing! Awesome!

@@jamesparrish9613 nice..thats what i thought. I test drove the acura rdx and its nice but i wasn't that impressed. Then I drove the ford edge titanium and i thought if this was sportier it would be the one. Thank you for the feedback. I will search that video.

@@3joewjThe titanium and ST drive completely differently. The Titanium is comfortable but boring. The ST is fun. I have a 2022 and love driving it. It’s the best highway vehicle I’ve ever been in for sure.

The heavily distorted wide angle shots are not very complimentary to the vehicle. I would also look at the frames that are way over exposed as well as the very shaky shots.

First, none of these will go for sticker. Once incentives are thrown on, you may pay 45K. Also, good luck finding a base Macan on a lot.

Don’t forget that you can usually get 0% interest on fords as well. Obviously if you have really shitty credit that won’t happen lol.

That's one expensive Ford I'd just wait until the end of 2020 to get one or wait to get a lightly used one it would probably be about $10k-$15k cheaper

I got a 2019 with most options (Except for heated rear seats / steering wheel / self parking) which stickered around 47K for less than 40K before tax. + we saved another $5K with the zero % financing with the end of the year deals. Another plus is that it's a November build with the updated software: The transmission shifts really smoothly and responds to paddles or auto downshift immediately. Another software update is that they removed the annoying constant engine sounds piping in sport mode. It only amplifies / pipes the engine sounds when you floor it. We love it so far.

I have a 2012 Edge Limited and a Porsche Cayman. I like them both but6i gotta say the quality isn't a comparison. There's a reason Ford can deliver an optioned out model for cheaper than Porsche. Less quality. That being said, if you don't need to get long worry free life out of your vehicle a pimped out Edge is way more bang for your buck. Drive the hell out of it for 3 or 4 years and trade it in before it starts going south on you.

The issue is the ST badge. It should be a new Edge sport. The fact that they slapped an ST badge on it to see if it would sell more is just insulting their US enthusiasts while other countries get to enjoy the new Focus and Fiesta.

The Macan maybe a nice SUV but Porsche hasn’t got a large enough dealer network. Between most Porche dealers there’s several Ford dealers. That will be the reason most drivers won’t look at a Macan

Just an observer I don’t know who told you this. Porsche buyers are very discerning unlike Ford buyers. People in the market for a Porsche will never be discouraged by their proximity to a dealership.

Current 2013 3.5 L Edge AWD limited owner, & I'm salivating at this video! However, have you ever driven an "adaptive cruise control/auto anti-collision system" vehicle in the rain or snow, when some birds fly across the front of you vehicle?? Instant breaks slam on, even if you're driving on a sharp curving road, which will send into the ditch! This is bad considering, you may be driving at 45 mph, or 55 mph on a straight away when that happens, which will also make you lose control of your vehicle. Very dangerous combination there, with all that fuck'n technology. I would order 1 without any of that crappy anti-collision bullshit, because I don't want to die, or even accidentally kill someone because it kicked in at a deadly time...

Joel Williams those issues aren’t there in the 2019, the adaptive works great even in stop and go traffic, while not as smooth as I can drive myself it is more useful than I had imagined

No. Not worths it (Macan). Macan, even the latest model, is still using the old Audi Q5 platform that even Audit Q5 has stopped since 2016. Macan is a dinosaur in disguise. But of course, if you love Porsche, nothing anything to you anyway. That said, Edge is expensive and resales value pales to Porsche. But I will save big time on maintenance fee with a Ford.

Sorcerer Stone Maintinance is probably more on a Ford than it is on a Porsche. Porsche is extremely reliable and repairs are rare. Ford is a piece of garbage

Went for the base macan, insurance was not much more than my civic. Edge is kinda shoddy and drives poorly. Porsche for the value win, lol

5 years on you would still have a Porsche with value , or a used up ford pile....easy choice. I have a 21 yo Porsche....still getting eyeballed, try that with a 98 Ford Exploder

Honestly both the Edge Sport (ST) and Porsche Macan are grossly overpriced. I have no idea why anyone buys these raised cars. Also best small SUV is the Stelvio Q.V. More so, Ford is dead to me for whoring out the once respected "ST" moniker from the lift off oversteer dreams of the Fiesta ST to a 2 ton SUV mom car. Bring back the Fiesta ST and maybe I'll consider a Ford again. The Edge Sport steering is terrible. Hated driving it. Ford couldnt even be bothered to give it a better awd setup like Acuras SH AWD. The Edge ST is not special. It's just a bloated priced Sport trim with "ST" badges everywhere. Fail Ford. Looking at the Interior of the Edge will have my Pprsche buyer running for the hills. Hyundai and Mazda has way better interiors than the classic Ford dash craptastic plastics and 1990 aqua blue glowing switches. Eww

During the 80's & 90's, with the older auto tech & luxury features which were limited only to the high end vehicles, what you're claiming now, as conservative as you may sound...will NOT hold water. HOWEVER, with the advancement & lowering cost of the latest tech & features now available to even the mid-line vehicles, your claim actually sounds VERY SOUND!

Don't waste your money I own one the brakes suck and way to much body roll for supposedly being a sports coupe suv it's good for a soccer mom that wants something with a little getup and go but this is by no means a performance suv the guy that signed off on this should have been fired
