Here are my thoughts on owning a 2019 Ford F-150 Limited for a week. As a whole, I really love the 2019 Ford F-150, I just wouldn't recommend the Ford F-150 Limited trim. More on that in the review. I also did a first impressions review on the 2019 Ford F-150 Limited and a full review on the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor, which shares the same engine with this F-150 Limited. Our 2010 Lariat 5.4 Crew Cab has never ever failed - well if you exclude the original battery after 5 years. 250,000 Km on it. We have replaced a few items but most were minor. Same shocks. We pulled an 8000 lb trailer for a year, no problem at all. Paid $42K CDN for it. Keeping it after our new Telluride comes in a month or so. Couldn't be happier with this vehicle.

Another good review. I commented on your F-150 Limited first impression video regarding my 2019 F-150 and stated I am very happy with it after 7000 miles so I won't repeat everything here. Prior to the 19 F-150, I drove a '15 F-150 XLT FX4 with the 302A luxury package and put 90K miles on it and a '15 F-150 Lariat 4X4 with 502A luxury package that I put 55K miles on, both with the 3.5 EB. Engine and drive train on both were problem free while I owned them except on the Lariat I had an issue with the vacuum actuator that engages the front drive for the 4X4. Both trucks had issues with locks freezing in the winter here in MN, which the dealer fixed with a kit that Ford put out to address the problem. Also, both had severe water leaks into the cab via the rear window which became known to me after about 40K miles (out of warranty) on each.

Yes I definitely remember haha and thank you so much for that honest and transparent ownership experience, you are helping a out a lot of people with that. But that being said, no vehicle is perfect everything has its faults. Our 2010 Tundra had to have all 4 bearings for the suspension replaced at 40k miles as well as all the rotors and pads which isn’t a big deal just mentioning it. Cost is like 2 grand but not going to say that it’s unreliable or the Ford is bad. Lexus has problems too with their LS. Anyways thanks for sharing my friend

As a guy who has researched the crap out of these trucks, going to a lower model and adding in everything the Platinum or Limited comes with, its usually a 2k difference in price. So its basically worth it to upgrade to the higher trims and get everything standard (and still have more). Also, the LED headlights are standard on Platinum and Limited but a very costly option to get on the lower trim levels. Further, you get things like power running boards, spray-in bedliner, navigation, massaging seats, sunroof, better leather, 450hp turbo v6 (platinum gets 365hp), heated rear seats, cooled front seats, and more! Lastly, the smaller sidewall tires (17 and 18) have more sidewall but are not as responsive in corners. All depends on your needs and driving style. But let me tell you, the halogen headlights SUCK!
@MeynMotorGroup
@MeynMotorGroup 4 года назад
Haha thanks for that awesome break down, yea Halogens don’t seem like an attractive option for the F-150. I would really love to have a V8 one I thibk

Also, when I mentioned the Kia Telluride, I have no idea why B Roll of the Acura TLX showed up instead. Oh premiere pro, what a conundrum

Coming to this late, but I'll say you've provided a pretty accurate review... but for, if you think the 22" wheels provide a "rough" ride, I guess you've never experienced a true "work truck"... My 2012 F150 XL regular cab max payload/max trailer tow 8' bed and 17" wheels rode like a wooden wheeled wagon. I'd also add that all your positive comments with regard to "placing" the rig on the road, and handling, might be partially an attribute of that wheel tire combo... tho, my base F150 could be placed in the same regard, so, possibly Ford just has something right with vehicle dynamics in the pickup line. I've been driving pickups and muscle cars all my life,, I am a construction worker (project engineer) that does not own the company... since getting into this truck my muscle car is up far sale... and, I need to get to the high pressure spray wash in the morning to clean all the construction site mud from under my limo/truck/hot-rod. I think the Dodge drives like a sponge, and I'll never get over the fact that GM cannot center the steering wheel on the driver... and neither feel "engaging"... the Tundra is a yawn fest, and I've never driven the Titan. Again, I believe a very accurate review. Thanks.

Hey bro I traded .my 19 F-150 Limited in for a 19 Ram Limited because of excessive oil consumption and when I tested the Ram I loved it more..I agree with u about the Ford limited is way easier to drive and the handling blows away my new Ram but I'm going with more luxury and ride now.
@MeynMotorGroup
@MeynMotorGroup 4 года назад
Hey thanks so much for the insight, I know this information will help people out. Yea the ram really is great extremely good road dynamics because the comfort and noise isolation is really well done. Quick question, I know the ram limited comes with 22s as well, how would you compare the comfort between ram and f-150? I sure the the ram is better regardless but is it night and day? I only drove a big horn with 18s. Thanks again for stopping by my friend

It' all boils down to what you want with both trucks ..nice ride or more performance.

Driving a lifted Silverado for a few weeks I got more comments in that than I did driving Mercedes for years. If your truck is not modded commands no attention, if you have a high-end truck and you have any mods on it, you get a ton of attention

Love the review. I can’t get a Limited but if I was gonna spend that kind of cash, I’d probably get a F250 Diesel Lariat. I like the interior but the Dodge is doing it a bit better. I am annoyed that you can’t turn off the info tainment with one button.

Hey thanks so much my friend and yea haha love the F series trucks but just can’t do the Limited. Would love to get a King Ranch that’s been sitting on the lot tho! And I agree, an optioned our Diesel will be a better choice and hold more value long term. Overall, big fan of Ford trucks and I hope to review some other trucks soon!

Exhaust Sports Auto As they should! Only they fail to mention their trucks come with rust (no joke I worked on one that was a few months old and had big bubbles already!). Not sure what I’d pick personally, pickups have been moving farther and farther from what I like since the early ‘00’s.
@MeynMotorGroup
@MeynMotorGroup 4 года назад
@@CarswithNash Yea rust is a HUGE problem with new cars. Even Hondas and Toyotas suffer from it. Volvo is the only company I know of spraying the underside of their cars but we all know how reliable those are

You might want to check your facts. I don't believe the Limited comes in a two wheel drive version. It is a four wheel drive truck with the option to switch between two, four and four wheel auto.

Nope 👎 RWD is standard and that’s what this is. I’m always going to have my facts straight as an arrow
