I rode in my first Ecoboost last Friday. A 2018 Expedition with the 3.5L Ecoboost producing 375 HP and 470 TQ and it was Surprisingly Powerful, and that 10-speed is brilliant too. More Powerful than a V8

If only Ford offered this engine in lower trims! I would love to see another SVT Lightning.

TOO EXPENSIVE! 4 years ago I was selling Lariat F250’s for that price with the diesel. It’s getting out of hand.

Putting the Raptor’s engine in has to be one of Ford’s greatest decisions recently!

I’ve purchased 5 trucks and about as many cars in my life. It never occurred to me that I needed to consider the sound when it came time to fork over money.

Worth every penny. I have owned it, since November 2019. It’s a classy sleeping fire breathing dragon. gentleman's truck that can smoke some cars. Those rams are nice looking trucks, but dodge just won’t put power in trucks anymore.

God damn it's fast. It awesome to see my favorite F150 package of all time gained some upgraded power! The limited F150 has always been my favorite one and my only dream truck as well (any year) but now I'm definitely on a goal for this one!

Remember, folks, you can still get into a brand new F-150 for $30,000. The top models simply have a lot of features and tech that go into them, some of which are now being considered more standard than in previous years.

Is it really worth the $30k extra over a run of the mill STX? At this point, why not just get an F250?

CNBC had an article about why there are high end trucks like this. Ford, GM and RAM are making these for luxury car owners getting out of the sedan market. Those buyers don't care if its $100k, they want the interior, all the goodies and the news toys. Yeah $100k is a lot for a truck, but then when you are trading in a $100k or more sedan, a $100k truck is probably a bargain..

Being a viewer I want to hear about real-world warranties issues and problem. Tell me about the rust issues, transmission and engine problems. I know this is taboo for automotive journalists for the fear of never being invited back to press events or soforth but this is the info we as consumers want and need!!!! -Love the show. Addy

Love the speed but please never attempt to give an ecoboost motor an exhaust note. A Camry sounds better. 😂. Otherwise very Fast!

I've read that the sound augmentation is disabled from the factory with the B&O sound system installed. Can you confirm this?

The interior is beautiful. I still can’t get over how much trucks cost these days though. $60,$70,$80,000 is a LOT of money to pay for a truck.

I purchased the 2018. The upgrades are nice but not sure if it’s worth an extra 5k. Would like to know what duel exhaust systems they run as most aftermarkets are too loud and I don’t care for the truck to sound like a musclecar.

So what makes it a high output? The size of the turbos? it's tuned? My 16 lariat will do 0-60 in 6 seconds as well in sport mode and it's much cheaper. All I did was tune it.

Is the leather any different than the platinum models? Or just different patterns

They should offer the 3.5 eco boost from the ford gt....

Two things bug me about this truck. 1 you cant get a smaller wheel size, so harsher ride, worse snow traction with the tires they use for 22s, and more likely to damage rims. 2 they put that damn limited plaque on the center armrest right where your elbow goes.

For me it was the putrid brown cow interior. Big no go. I went with the platinum (black interior) and I'll tune it and be on par with the limited. I love it so far and I am a 40 years driving GM guy. I bought it for the low corrosion aluminum due to Michigan winters (rust proofed too) but the 3.5 is a sweet bonus! Twins!! Oh and the forscan is really nice. So many little things you can do with it.

What type of exhaust? I wonder if it would sound the same on my 3.5 Lariat?

Yes we will give you the raptor motor but it has to be set up so it can't tow more and has to have a short bed so you can't carry a lot in the bed makes sense

Towing although down versus the lower trim F-150’s is still good. The average 1 ton dually 20 years ago could only tow around 10,000 lbs.

Anyone remember when the Ford XLT Eddie Bauer versions were top of the line & were around 20k brand new? Those were the days

Wood interior trim pieces are so old fashioned, they look terrible. The trim pieces should denote the new millennia with aluminum or titanium. It still sounds like a lawn mower, lets have an ecoboost Coyote, then you'll have the top engine of anything!

Great truck but it suffers the same issue as the 3.0 diesel. Stuck behind higher trim levels. Would love to see an xlt standard cab with this engine. Insane take off.

It's a beautiful truck but its more like a luxury car , who would want to wear their work clothes after they got off . A truck is something that your not afraid that you might get the inside muddy or haul things in . For that kind of money I would buy and old truck and replace the family car with the new truck to go grocery shopping in . I just don't get

I really thought this truck was going to be MUCH faster than this. But, it looks like to handle all that power, this version of the F150 has been laden it with an HPP frame and 9.75 rear diff (which explains the payload capacity of this truck). At the end of the day, you are probably looking at less than a second difference in 0-60 times when compared to the "ringer" F150 Lariat with tow package in the 2019 Ike Gauntlet. Compared to a Max Tow Platinum or loaded King Ranch, I would say this would be a little more than a second quicker. I don't think that 1 second in 0-60 times is really worth the $6K increase in the price tag over a Max Tow model. And honestly, if you are looking for speed, the 5.0L in a 2 wheel drive regular cab short bed STX is the way to win at the drag strip. This, on the other hand, is a truck for bragging rights at the country club on Friday Evening and pulling a $75K boat to the lake on Saturday.

That’s nice. I would have waited to get the 2019. I ordered the 2018 in August. It came with so many problems. Paint flaw, lane keep assist not working, windshield wipers not detecting rain and not functioning properly, and windshield wipers not returning to resting position on defrost pads. When I asked the dealership to fix, they sent it to a mechanic and the Ford app alarm went off. Turns out my brand new truck was hit while not in my possession. As of today, Nov 5th, I still don’t have my Limited Edition truck even though I have been stuck paying for it since September. I haven’t received proper delivery of my truck.

Do you know why there are no grab handles on these trucks?

At 40,000 miles,it will be 10% less powerful.Look at car and drivers long term review of Raptor.Also needed a transfer case rebuild at 40k.No thanks Ford.

I'm sorry, but there's nothing about this truck that's interesting to me. Wheels are too big, two-tone interior is hideous, price tag is 'crack pipe', engine sound is atrocious, styling is too overdone (especially grille and tailgate), 1100 pound payload...Ugly and useless.

Too much money for this junk

I opted for the platinum because I like the brushed look and mostly the seats. Not a big fan of the seat design in the limited... however this is the ultimate truck. Yeah the rams interior may be a little nicer in your opinion but when you package it all together the sharp lines of the ford coupled with the insane power... it's hard to beat. My next truck will be a raptor but we will keep the platinum around just because! I am a converted gm guy and love the ford right now. If they could only fix their stupid engine issues it would be the undisputable king. All manufacturers have motor issues though. It's kinda like pick your poison

Just like with the Raptor you can easily gain 100 horsepower with just a cold air intake and an ECU tune too. Cheap but highly effective way to tune and gain significant horsepower. With more expensive upgrades like a larger intercooler or turbos those horsepower numbers can easily surpass 600 horsepower.

They are going nuts with their prices!

I had a 1987 Toyota pickup, got stolen two years ago, looked at Ford, Toyota, Nissan, ended up getting a 2002 Toyota Tacoma. Good goddamn I love that truck!
