Man, I found this at the right time! I just had my daughter's '19 Fiesta at the shop today. The mechanic said he couldn't fix it because the OEM back order is 3500 deep. Looks like I'll be fixing this one myself.
Yeah the OEM ones are hard to get for some reason but all you really need is that one valve anyway, and it’s simple to install. Good luck on the install, glad you liked the video and was helpful. Thanks for watching.
My dads 17 fiesta did the same thing very common problem! A random mechanic my dad found changed the fuel valve first and that didn't work, so i look up the issue and found that the entire assembly (tubing you showed) should be changer out) i tried the AutoZone purge valve but it was horrible. Luckily i found the entire assembly and exchanged it, car runs better! Thankfully i looked up the codes bc the mechanic wanted to change the fuel pump to the car, that dude was just guessing and trying to take my dads money.
Yeah when I scanned it, it said it was a common problem on these cars. Glad you found the whole assembly, nobody had it when I went looking for it, even ford had to order it and didn’t know when it would be back in stock so I just changed the valve and it’s still working perfect. Glad you got the car fixed though, good work. Thanks for watching.
@@garyhurwitz4359 you’re welcome, glad you enjoyed the video and was helpful to you. Idk lol I just fill it up and that’s what’s it says lol. Perhaps different years had different size fuel tanks maybe, which wouldn’t make sense, so idk. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, glad it was helpful to you and you enjoyed the video. I believe it was 3/8, you can pick it up at any auto parts store. 3/8 fuel line, or just take the new valve in the store with you and make sure the hose fits the valve, as long as it fits the valve snug then it’ll work on the line. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.
I suppose anything is possible, especially if the bulb is burned out in the dash. Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key to the on position right before you start it? That’ll check to see if the light is burned out.
@@soloiobashvili ok, well just to see if get the car scanned just to see if any codes show up. Sometimes codes will show in the computer without turning the light on and go from there. Sorry I couldn’t be more help. Thanks for watching.
