@@Travisj9935 i haven't installed it yet because i have other vehichles I drive and just hit 1000 miles on the new truck. Ive had it since April 3rd. I know some top guys in the auto dealership industry and they are saying you wont be able to buy a new truck or get parts for new vehicles in about 6 months. So im hesitant to put the tune in and void the warranty. Ford sells the same tuner with THEIR tune that must be installed by a certified red tech to not void any warranties. Im not wanting to void my warranty just yet and with the possible shortage of parts and trucks im not sure now is the right time to modify my brand new truck. Its fast enough to get you in trouble already stock. So I cant really say. I do have high expectations for it but am aware of how everything works so we shall see EVENTUALLY!!

That's true, the powertrain is way better than anything the competition offers on the lower end, and better than most on the high end. People complaining about prices of Lariats, but comparing XLT and XL's, there's better value.

Best new midsized truck out there by far! Traded my old tech , noodle frame '16 Taco TRD Pro. Ford dealers are littered w/traded in Taco trucks.

Same engine that's in my Ford focus RS and the Mustang Ecoboost. My RS is putting 380whp and 420wtq. And many RS owners are well over 500whp.

Wanting to tune but I’m paranoid about the open deck design. Am I just paranoid or is my fear valid?

It may be open deck design but the cylinders are reinforced with ribs inside the coolant passages nothing to worry about at all.

Ford has a tune u can get from the dealer now that add 50hp and 77lbs for $895 and doesn't void warranty

One truck I saw running FBO/protune slapped down 365 whp and 434 wtq on 93 octane. I know on ethanol they’re getting 400+ whp with full bolt ons

Check out the TFL Truck channel and watch their video. There's a company that sells an OBDII tuner, and you can work with them over email to customize a program.

Not worth it right now imo, there isn’t enough aftermarket parts to even make it “full bolt on” and even the famous ecoboost tuners aren’t touching it for some reason…

That was fixed before the Rangers came out.

Those pumps didn’t seem to work out for the RS community. That being said the lms hpfp did.

They’re mostly for vanity, unless you can fab up a custom Intercooler to match them.

It's in Rear 2wd by default until you select 4L or 4H.

Double checked it was a lariat and yes 2wd Default and 4L or 4H when selected in driving modes.

John L ok so it is equipped with the extra weight of the 4wd system that did the stock 7.2 time?

There is a online forum showing that the ranger engine is very similar and same internals as a focus RS . The ranger block even has more beefed up block and head web casting then the focus RS

Same here. assuming the same tire size, a Bronco should make even more power through a 7spd manual trans.

Don't think it will make more power with a manual the 10 speed auto is bad ass and has more gearing options. But it will make plenty of power in the bronco

I was going to use 5star tuning but they do not according to them or does it but they can't tell you that it does? any suggestions?

You would gain towing power of course. 100ft lbs more torque. But the towing is not gonna gain because it's limited by the truck itself. Wheel base and what not

All things equal there is no supercharger that will make the power of a turbo.

You can't view the value based on your own experience. E85 is plentiful in many places across the country. Too bad it's not for you but it's VERY worth it for people that have access.

I have a 2016 Mustang EcoBoost that is run on E30. It's very worth it. With just E30 and an aftermarket intercooler, my car puts down 377hp and 455tq. It runs high 11s at 114 mph and weighs 3,800 lbs. So.... in my opinion it's worth ever bit.

Yeah, there's like 2 e85 gas stations like in a 40 mile radius here in LA. Not worth it unless your commute is on the way to one of those gas stations

What do you mean slow, slow compared to a Mystang GT, or a Ferrari, yeah sure it's slower than those, but compared to its competitors it has more power than everything else than the GM twins, and they are only slightly faster it has more usable lowend torque, that gives it almost best in class towing. So just because it is a turbocharged four cylinder, your brain can't get past that, must suck to be that stupid.

You clearly dont know anything about engines. Ford has been using the 2.3l since the 1970's and turbo charging them from the factory for nearly as long. So maybe all those "Asian Spec" engines should be called "Ford Spec"
