My Torque News column might interest you. I explain why to choose 2020 Highlander Hybrid vs gas-powered www.torquenews.com/6626/3-key-reasons-choose-2020-toyota-highlander-hybrid-over-gasoline-models
Due to the lack of LED headlights the first thing I did when I got my 2019 Highlander was change the headlights to the Sylvania Ultra. Well worth the additional money.
@Spacecoastz Here are links to what I ordered on Amazon: High beam 9005: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COCU5W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Low beam H11: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00318NQL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Amazon says these don't fit the 2019 Highlander, but they do. If you want a light that is almost as white as LED, I would go with the Philips Crystal Vision. I have those in my wife's car. If I had it to do over again, I would've put the Philips bulbs in my Highlander. Here are links to them on Amazon: Low beam H11: www.amazon.com/Philips-CrystalVision-Upgraded-Bright-Headlight/dp/B00U1OL356 High beam 9005: www.amazon.com/Philips-CrystalVision-Upgraded-Bright-Headlight/dp/B017XELXT2/ref=sr_1_4?gclid=Cj0KCQiAl5zwBRCTARIsAIrukdM2M_P5QyrUTwHxYiMI_vYrP0trKGFiFEhLQnae4Ei7FYbmhbz_MgsaAnD3EALw_wcB&hvadid=177585067564&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9016049&hvnetw=g&hvpos=1t1&hvqmt=b&hvrand=8341209684066138026&hvtargid=aud-840076997981%3Akwd-13277706258&hydadcr=7088_9585817&keywords=philips+crystal+vision+ultra+9005&qid=1577575613&sr=8-4 Both high/low beam bulbs are real easy to install. There are videos on RU-vid that can help or the owners manual of course.
Great review. Just a heads up. You CAN get the platinum with the 8 seat configuration. When I saw this video I was bummed that you couldn't until I stumbled upon 1 when shopping. There definitely less common but there out there. I know, I bought a 19 platinum, pano roof, heated rear seats 360 cam. The whole 9!
We just bought a used 2018 Highlander Limited Platinum and LOVE it!! We saved over $15,000 by getting a used one with less than 20k miles and it was totally worth it!!
At 9:45 you say it has rain sensing wipers, but isn’t that actually a wiper heater to warm the wipers in cold weather, so they aren’t frozen to the windshield? I think I read that in the manual. I could be wrong though.
I think in Canada for these 2017-2019 Limited is actually platinum Cause I have a 2017 limited.. and it does have the panoramic roof and front and back camera also rain windshield sensors and captain chairs I think The trims are switch around abit in Canada as there is no platinum edition for the 2017-2019 .. however they did introduce the platinum editions for the toyota highlander 2020 and up .... That's wierd
Hi Jeff At 9:20 when you are showing the Platinum trim Highlander, you say that the "ONLY" configuration you can do is the 2nd row captains seats on the Limited Platinum. The only choice, NO BENCH SEAT, NOT going to happen"...Not True....We purchased our 2019 Highlander Limited Platinum with a 2nd row BENCH SEAT! For us, the Captains seats were something we hated, and would have passed on had it not been for the 2nd row bench seat option..... I'd be happy to send you a picture to show you ! Our Platinum is the same Gray Mica color, but has the Black interior...
