Updated video showing the steps to change the oil and oil filter on our 2019 Honda Pilot EX-L FWD.
This is an updated video correctly showing the use of a crush washer on the oil drain plug, and is also shorter to waste less of your time :p

-5.7 Quarts of 0W-20 Engine Oil - Recommend Honda Genuine Oil or Mobil 1 Full-Synthetic
-Honda Oil Filter - Honda Part #15400-PLM-A02 - amzn.to/3fkfHjd
-Honda Oil Drain Plug Crush Washer - Honda Part #94109-14000 - amzn.to/3fl9OC5
Tools:
-Ramps (RhinoRamp or similar) or Jack and jack stands - amzn.to/2WLC0I4
-Wheel chocks - amzn.to/3jaaHP3
-17mm socket and ratchet (or 17mm wrench)
-Torque wrench capable of 29 ft-lbs - amzn.to/3zXd7HG
-Oil drain pan
-Piece of wood/plastic/paper to go underneath drain pan
-Long funnel
-Safety glasses
-Gloves
-Permanent marker

I found that removing the oil filter, cover the frame under the filter. Oil will leak into the frame a leak for awhile.

Hi. When you hand tightened the oil filter it was at 3 hash marks. Did you go back and torque it more to see 4? When I hand tighten I see 3 marks just like in your video. Thanks.

Any ideas on how to minimize the mess created by oil filter removal?

So, my friend has always recommended using a ziploc bag around the oil filter as you loosen it and take it off. I actually tried this last week during the latest oil change and I ended up dropping the filter in the bag up inside there and made more of a mess lol. So in theory you can put a bag around it but it’s super slippery!

Dude, 4 arrows is a full turn and 3 arrows is the 3/4 turn, okay video though.

With a full turn, you should be back where you started.

Yea. Oil filter calls for 3/4’s of a turn, so I started at 1 arrow and ended at 4 arrows. 1+3=4

Got to love how all these oil change videos have to show us they put oil on the gasket before installing the new filter like they have the secret trick that no one else knows about. What's next? Looking in their mirrors before backing up?

What's wrong with including every step? What kind of person complains about a how-to video including every step? And YES, if there was a how-to video on backing up, I would expect it to including details about using mirrors. Like, wtf are you complaining about????
