Nuno Bettencourt and Kevin Figueiredo of Extreme perform "Get the Funk Out" at the 2019 International Portuguese Music Awards (IPMA) LIVE in New Bedford, Massachusetts USA on May 18, 2019
Nuno is a really nice guy, in addition to a musical phenom. He invited me into the studio to listen to Extreme’s just completed 3 sides album in its entirety, which is an incredibly gracious thing to do. I’ll never forget that. He was patient and forthcoming to questions about his soloing technique. I can tell you, that’s some very rare hospitality.
A dead audience engaging more with their mobile phones rather than with the artist. Nuno shines in his passion for music and any good is wasted on those who fail to understand and share that experience being freely offered.
"A dead audience engaging more with their mobile phones rather than with the artist". YUP. Welcome to the state of music in the 21st Century. It sucks.
@@kelseymariel2127 I'd have to say I agree! I grew up with my music. My father and his brothers all played. So every weekend, I was somewhere, wherever they were playing. I also had friends/boyfriends that played music. It's always been a part of my life, in one form or another. That particular talent bypassed me for some reason, but I can sing while they play!! 😂😂
how is it humanly possible to play guitar on this song, sing it, and hang that guitar that low...without looking like someone having some sort of a seizure? in our country "Nuno" is a mythical creature living in a "Punso." Nuno is definitely a mythical creature!!!!
Saw Extreme on there first tour of this album at Mansfield Massachusetts. They were presented the gold album during show. Till this day one best live bands I’ve seen ..
I agree!! I saw them in Springfield, MO in 1990. They opened for Winger and I just completely fell in love with them. Very good live performance (actually wished they were the headliners). This was also the first time I heard More than Words. All the lights went out and then a huge spotlight lite up Nuno and Gary. That performance blew me away!! 30 years later and I can still remember that vibe!
Continuas a dar-lhe sempre em grande , como sempre, depois destes anos todos desde que saíste do Açores continuas a conquistar os palcos por esse mundo fora, esse Portuguese white boy!!!! Orgulho Português
Nuno is like mild mannered Clark Kent... but with that Washburn N4 he transforms into Superman! Killer vocals and fretwork! I got totally funked out!🎸🎤🤘
When my friend and I first heard of these guys, I think it was 1990... Maybe '89... We agreed that he was arguably the BEST guitarist is the world... May still be...
Never changed that aged 🎸... Never used such complex - digital multi effects . He even told once he don't care what guitar-cable he's using .... Never grow old .. my back now hurts if I played that guitar so low
Nuno and band were totally Bad-Ass on this tune! I like when drummers use a 4-peice kit. Seems to me they always produce the most solid pocket and play the most clever and tasteful fills. Nuno never fails to deliver with red hot guitar playing...I love it!
Se pudesse daria 100 likes , amazing guy, eu acho que ele canta melhor que o vocalista principal do extreme, sem falar do talento que Deus lhe deu como guitarrista! O incrível Nuno Bettencourt, Fantástico!!
Nuno sings better and better, he is impressive! But is there something this guy can't do well? He admires a lot of artists like Brian May, Eddie Van Hallen, etc ... He plays with the biggest ones like Vai or Malmsteen, and he doesn't see HE IS the MONSTER ! God bless you Nuno for all the passion you've been giving since 30 years. I knew you when I was 16... I'm 46 right now, and think you have never been better than today. Love you Nuno ❤ PS : and you fucked up the lyrics, like often 😂😂😍
