Not really, as he got away without a penalty simply because he was a leading Ferrari at monza 🙄 forcing a driver off the track is a standard 5 secs but not that day 😂
Leclerc in Spa after winning his first ever F1 race: "This one's for Antoine. Feels good but difficult to enjoy on weekend like this" Leclerc in Monza after winning by Ferrari: "AAAAAAAAH! YES YESYESYES!" I'm becoming a huge fan of him. Classy and passionate man
@@drybones7475 yeah. If we only had him in 2018 he could have won the championship (not talking about 2017 because Seb drove pretty well that year, except he had really bad luck, like in Singapore and in Japan)
@@orion3433 Looking at the stats, I think that unlike Seb, Charles would have won the 2018 championship. But in 2017, it would have been a long shot because the Mercedes was much faster and reliable (15/20 poles + 3 dominant wins by more than 30 seconds and all of them were 1-2s)

The race was awesome. Had to transfer as fast as I can to the tv broadcast instead of streaming due to network issues. The fear of missing a part of the race only to tune back in and Lewis was ahead.
He can see the celebrations starting, he's got one more corner the famous Parabolica to go,Mercedes threw everything at him but Charles Leclerc has coped brilliantly,he won in SPA he wins in Monza! Charles Leclerc is the winner of the 2019 Italian Grand Prix how about that! 2 years ago.
Vettel: comes back on the circuit like an idiot. Stroll: “He came back on the circuit like an idiot” Also Stroll: comes back on the circuit like an idiot 😝
if you observe closely vettel in anger trys to move out of the grass after he spun out causing wheelspin , he inches closer to tarmac and sees stroll coming and lets go of the throttle which kept the tires spinning in their place , and now sudden grip for tires and they propel him forward to stroll.
you can win a F1 race and you'll be treated like a winner. you can win a F1 world championship and you'll be treated like a champion. and you can win a F1 grand prix in Monza as a ferrari Driver and you'll be treated like a LIVING GOD.
Connor Bracey Italy 2018 USA 2018 Austria 2016 Bahrain 2019, Brazil 2016x3 Brazil 2017 Britain 2016 Canada 2016, 2018 China kinda Japan 2018, Russia 2017, Baku 2016, Hungary 2017 and so many more. Note some of these were only 180 spins and some came in practice
Gareth Braint Maldonado switched with Vettel at Ferrari before Baku 2017, it all makes sense Fast, inconsistent, race wins, penalties, mistakes, spins, crashes, poles, stupid driving, unexpected results, etc
Feel bad for Vettel for this weekend first not getting a tow from Leclerc and on race day spins lose positions and no points meanwhile Vettel tow for him and got pole position
right so are williams and other f2 ,formula E ,etc....10 folds , vettle's done with racing, time to shift gears to making videos with nico, at least there will be something he can do there :P
@@peter-joecombrinck2382 exactly, the ferrari is a top speed car... Not a track beast. Could have done wonders with that engine, but they have bad aero nd low downforce.
ferrari is faster on straights, even hamilton said mercedes was a bit afraid of how ferrari's would have performed in monza cause they know how good they are on straight and in fact it we know how it ended
@@utasajaia5681 exactly what i was thinking, their cars have a little less downforce than their closest competitors, ergo, low drag. Wonder why a racing point could hold back a redbull on the straights
@@Liam94Smith Channel 4 commentary not always on point. David Coulthard missed that Hulkenberg pass on Vettel. Crofty was screaming about it on Sky. Loved that

I remember watching this race back in 2019 and thinking this is one the greatest F1 races I've ever had the privilege to watch. Charles being chased down by Ferrari's familiar foe in Mercedes and the young man was not to be caught that day. I love it when the commentator says" Mercedes threw everything at him". Indeed they did..
One year later, still gives me chills. It's my motivational video. Thank you Charles. Sad 2020's Ferrari will be almost last. Guess I'll live in the past Ferrari glory again
I can't tell if they forget to point out achievements that are not Ferrari's or Mercedes', or they aren't allowed, or they purposely skip it. It's either one of those.
They speak highly of it in the paddock pass post-race. Nothing too special to see, other than the achievement. All the action for Renault was at the start and they coped brilliantly to hold their positions.
It is rumored that the FOM morons did that cut to the fans on purpose to not show a crash. It's absolutely ridiculous! I recommend to those guys to switch to cover chess matches or something like that but get the fuck out of motorsports and take their fucking CGI advertisements and out of sync graphics with them!
These highlights don’t do justice to the lap after lap pressure Lewis was putting on Charles. It was incredible pressure and incredible defending. Stunning driving from both
it would have been offensive to racing if Bottas ended up winning a race controlled by Charles and challenged by Lewis until 5-6 laps to the end. Charles deserved the win, Lewis was the only acceptable alternative. They made the race
@@fabiobalenzano6439 tf you talking about? If you dominate the race but dont have the pace at the end to finish it and to defend 1st, you dont deserve the win (wasn't the case on lecrec, but just saying). But stating it would be offensive to racing if bottas had won is just complete bullshit
@@willsunnyf1 You have the proof? I read DATA so well. In Belgium GP, Honda up graded Red Bull ENGINE to win. In Russia they use NEW ENGINE again so they got penalty (they prepare it for battling in Japan GP). If Honda changing ENGINE TWICE times in just 2 races distance, for you, it is NOT cheating? If you skip the fact that F1 is ENGINE tournament, i suggest you to reading all resources and try to think fairly. If up graded engine, you think CHEATING, and then Max Verstappen cheating all the time since he is changing ENGINE in this session at least 3 times!

Everyone is happy when their own favorite team wins, but here in Italy it's different ... seeing Ferrari win at Monza raises those historical emotions and passions that only Italians know how to feel deeply from the bottom of our hearts. Grazie Charles, grazie Ferrari.
I'd die laughing just to see the reactions at Monza if the Ferrari rival at the time won the WDC here. Yes I know you'd need impeccable circumstances to win it here.
Kind of a dirty win by Charles. I really wanted Charles to win the championship for Ferrari. Lewis winning is so boring. But Charles pushed him off. Okay not the worst thing but then he cut the chicane. That's not really winning.
It's clear that he needs to grab a copy and play more often, he is looking way too rusty for his years in the sport and 4 world titles under his belt. Not good enough when you consider how racy the young guns are.
@@davefred No, YOU peepee poopoo pants. But really the guys aren't doing themselves any favours. Charles has championship potential as he showed in Bahrain but he's not gonna make it there until he starts driving like it consistently. And until then he shouldn't be wasting a Ferrari seat that could go to someone who's genuinely ready. I could understand Ferrari investing in the future if they were doing alright in the present but Vettel has driven precisely one good race since Hockenheim last year. Doesn't exactly fill the void of stability. And that's before we get to the strategy team, or the engineers who took the biggest budget on the grid and made a car that's fast on 2 tracks
@@ChrisStoneinator what do you have against Charles' driving? He fended off a soon-to-be 6 times world champion for like 20 laps to win 2 straight races. What else do you want from a 21 year old?
David Croft is like Peter Drury in F1, both of them are my favourite commentators in 2 of my favourite sports. Just listen to them , their commentary gives me goosebumps
@TheBaconHunter winning the championship in 4 consecutive years isn't just being lucky....you obviously don't have any idea how much it takes to be successful in any kind of sports
You're happy that Leclerc won a staged race? It was blatantly obvious that it would be staged for Ferrari to win this race. The public are such sheep that they deserve to be fooled by these Fre€mason scammers.
Fair play to Charles, there isn't much greater pressure than driving a red car in Italy, leading from pole and fending off Both the big Merc's......Future world champion stuff.......
The reason kvyat is driving well is because he knows what its like to lose everything. He lost his seat at res bull then lost his seat in f1. He is a real fighter and a true champ
They've all been quite close this year as Canada showed too. Most power circuits have presented great competitive races. They've done a great job getting there.
Renault knew he would do a good performance this weekend they also know that the result will be difficult for next GP. Problems have been identified it just remains to be hoped that significant improvements will occur next season
