same goes for wagons....Would love to get my hands on a CLS Shooting Brake, but alas based the difference and price and payment would always be a negative. In regard to hatches, I would love if they'd offer those in limited quantities or on an as ordered basis.

Its quite simple. hatch/wagon fans love practicality, thus the hatch. But because they are so practical they dont buy brand new cars to avoid initial depreciation. We are to practical for our own good

Another fantastic video, great work guys. It baffles my mind how you don’t have millions of subscribers already, we need to do something about this, the current 160k community should to work together to spread the word, send everyone you know who’s into cars and stuff like this any one of their videos, the videos speak for themselves, we need to get them up to at least half a million by this time next month and 1 million the month after, the more there are the more they grow, these guys really deserve it. I completely agree with Matthew. TSP is definitely one of my favorite RU-vid car channels. Always looking forward to future videos! In terms of the A250, the technology seems over the top and it has some fun gimmicks but I'm not too keen on the double screen, I'm impressed they are doing it on the final production model! Seems more like a feature you would normally see on a concept car.

Mk7.5 GTI owner here and I would probably place the A250 a close second but that might change if I drive it. The interior is better on the A class though, it puts stuff like the A3 to shame considering the price difference. I had a great test drive with the GTI (and got a good deal) and that's what nailed it for me.

George Swain same for me, i have a 2016 gti and ml350 2015. I loved the understating and joy the car brought but this a class is just a class above. The only drawback will be the price. We're talking 40k territory for a well equipped a class..

Sometimes I really loathe the American car market - it's all going the way of chunky crossovers and such here...perfect for our chunky car buyers I suppose. It's a shame that we won't get cool little cars such as this - I doubt the sedan version will last very long here. That said, I've very intrigued by this car and I can't wait to see what tech will eventually find it's way here to this side of the pond/border.

There's gotta be a Tim Hortons that would give you a stack of empty small cups for a shout out in your videos so you can take them for videos when you travel. I don't even drink small size, but not seeing that test in a video is like not seeing Doug attempt to climb into a cramped back seat. UUGGHHH NOOOOO Why won't the US get the hatch! epic sadface. I think a AMG A45 hatch would totally be in consideration for my next car and i'm not a fan of the CLA sedan's looks. Weird proportions. Oh well, I guess this gives a bit of a preview of the next C-Class dash which is need of an update. Great vid as usual guys.

i think mercedes did a good job with the decision of making the a series the most tech merc ever (tex mex?), as we can see in this video these two 'younglings' the only ones showed the easter eggs so far among all those (older) 'journalists' -mercedes is a brand for young people now! (?)

You're testing A250, wouldn't call that a "base" model. Yes it's not AMG but it's still top of the line A class.

Also, i forgot to mention that my parents are considering buying this car as they are looking for something more upscale compared to their ford focus rs that they have and they were wondering how the screen looks in direct sunlight, can you disable the "hey Mercedes" if you just want to use the touch screen, and what is the ride quality like?

The car look is stunning !! I feel that car will sell hot cake in spite of the car sales vs SUV sales. I heard that car will be cheaper than the CLA, but as any germain car, you can reach the price of a upper mercedes model with options. I guess it sell well like they have done when they launch the new C class few year ago with the new design. Also, you can have all wheel drive, that a big plus. BMW and Audi will import their hatch in Canada if the A-Class sell well . BTW shout out for the amazing editing again !!

I really hate this digital cluster... Looks like and afterthought... I mean, digital clusters are cool, but this is just a piece of plastic with a screen attached to the dashboard... Audi/VW's look better. Nice video BTW

Who are these sedan worshipers in America? I thought it has been settled that a hatch is much preferred for utilization? I suspect it is those people hell-bent on a sedan that show up to BestBuy wanting to fit a 55" LCD TV in the backseat or trunk of their sedan (shaking their head in amazement) when it does not fit.

Hu5kyy You have 2 possibities. You can either have the car examined according to usa safety standards and then import it. (It could fail and its expensive). Or you become a diplomat and you can drive it on diplomatic plates.

Thank you Guys for reviewing such a beautiful car, it's a first for Mercedes to sell a hot hatch in Canada, the old one was not that good for the pleasure of driving but the AMG one was a truly HOT hatch. I wish Canadians are gonna start buying hot hatches; because like the US everybody loves them but no one buys them; so that Mercedes and other manufacturers start selling these beautiful hot hatches because we are missing a lot (135i and it's real wheel drive for exemple :/)

Can't configure the Edition on the UK site. The closest is A250 AMG Line, which when fully speced is £34600. (€39800, $48200 US, $62000 Canadian) Very reasonably priced considering everything on it.

This isnt even the fully equipped. Maybe take a few extras away and you will still be in the 40k€ range, which is quite expensive. Starting price for the car with the engine is 36k but that would be a barebone Merc.

Erniegang you guys have far more options than in the UK right now. No doubt Mercedes-Benz will add more options to the UK market. How else will they get their hands on all our hard earned cash?

I think this car is in some ways inspired by Tesla. They wanted to have some of that "premium tech gadget" appeal for the traditional car market.

This is not a base model 😒 really guys I don't know what your definition of a base model is. But this is not it. Body style, level of commonality in vehicle construction or a car's bottom-level trim eg fewer features and gadgets for the base model. From start a higher spec model in general will be better equipped than a lower one. Supply and demand in short.
