Nice objective review. I purchased a 2019 blue Murano Platinum trim. Did lots of research. Was set on the Murano since it was the best bang for the buck. Bought on clearance for a 20% discount which sweetened the deal. Since they are in less demand, you can really bargain. Added a 6 year 100,000 mile comprehensive warranty so I’m worry free. There’s no such thing as a cheap repair so I felt it was money well spent given the discount I got. I have owned two Nissan Sentras and a Nissan Altima and they were all good reliable cars. Absolutely love the Murano. Just a unique and stylish design. I think the wheels are the best looking out of any SUV. Seats and ride are very comfortable. You don’t buy the Murano for towing or off-roading. Is designed for street. Lower ground clearance than its competitors makes entry and exit easy, but you still enjoy the feel and safety of a bigger vehicle with sitting high but still great road manners. Quiet cabin. My wife is super picky and she loves this vehicle. Infiniti like experience for almost half the price. Plus there are not a lot of them out there so you stand out. Very happy so far.
A RU-vid Channel with no name I know it gets a bad rap, but I’ve had 3 cvt cars with no transmission issues. Would prefer a regular one for sure, but the upside is better mileage. I get 30MPG on freeway. Bad rep is also why I got the 100K warranty though. Will likely sell car before I hit that.
I have a 2007 Nissan Altima with the CVT transmission. 155,000 miles, no problems, runs like a champ. While CVT transmissions in general get a bad rap, there is a lot of noise online about Nissan's Jatco transmissions particularly. I test drove a 2019 Murano SL AWD today and other than the small blind spot at the 5 o'clock position, I liked everything about the vehicle. Extremely comfortable seats. Everything seemed solid and well-built. Excellent fit and finish. Quiet ride. Very decent acceleration. Did a Murano owner review search on Edmunds and the owner feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Owners seem to think that the Murano is the best $$$/value in its class.
I have a 2018 Platinum Murano and I really like it but after seeing the 2019 model I was like 😍 wish I waited for this years Platinum version. And I really love the Cashmere interior too.
Just bought a black 2021 Murano SV. I really love it. Got a good deal for a 3 year old model. Less than half the price of the new one. With the cvt you have to remember what you are driving and what you are not. I think it’s a solid transmission if u treat it right. It has plenty of power for what it is. It requires maintenance. If u are hard on your vehicles and are not strong in maintenance I would keep looking. These transmissions will fail you if not maintained and if you drive it like you stole it. The steering is heavy. The ride is very comfortable and quiet. For me the technology is more than adequate, however I’m coming from the prospective of someone who last bought a new car in 2001, so there’s that! 😂
RICHARDFLORES2100 they’re both in the 40k range I like the size of the Nissan but the interior of the GLA is way better. Performance wise the Nissan has more hp but the GLA is lighter and a little bit better gas mileage. both I believe are awd and have panoramic roofs
Are people still buying Nissan... they should make the parts available for the gen 1 then we will buy again. I have a Murano and not happy with Nissan.
So no one is speaking about thr transmission yall need to join the facebook nissan group.... People are so honest on their. This vehicle has many issues not just the tranmission
Come on Nissan, change that dash, infotainment and car remote control. Still looks old school for premium car. The Chinese car makers are designing better than your designers. What a shame! 👍 exterior design
Nissan/Renault are CRAP, Nissan has not been good since the late 90’s, the French destroyed a use to be good brand, and yes their Jacco transmissions are complete trash!!!!, if you are smart buy Honda or Toyota.
I didn't realize how terrible CVT was until after I purchased my Murano. Shame on you, Nissan. 1500lb towing on a 260HP motor??? Horrible. I love my car but I have a trailer I can't tow. Shame on you.
